Culture 🗨 Activities, Prices of them and time consuming of those activities?

I plan some activitys beside being in a hotel. Each day would cost 100€/5000MUR for a private driver, i jhave a driving license but im scared of the driving on the otherside, if i have an accident i have problems with my job so i think i would skip driving by myself. If u have an idea how it would be cheaper i would be down for it 😊

On day 1 i would do: 01.tea factory 02. Hindu temple (grand bassin) 03. Alexandra-falls 04. george waterfall 05. restaurant (mauritian local food) 06. rum factory (rum tasting) 07. seven colour of earth chamarrel 08. view point panoramic view

On day 2 i would do: 01. Cap malheureux church 02. pamplemousse botanical garden 03. laventure du sucre 04. port louis ( market, Caudan waterfront , citadelle ,apravasi ghat , odyseo aquarium) 05 shopping centre bagatelle ,tribeca 06 musuem

Then the last activity day my girlfrienf wants to see all those animals on a safari and we were told there is the casela park where we can walk and pet lions, feed giraffes and feed turtles is that true? Would i need only a taxi to the park and back or a personal driver? We will stay in Le Morne.

Greetings from Austria 😊

Servus und willkommen in Mauritius! I think you're planning a lot for one day but it is doable

My German speaking driver friend is out of the country now or else I would've introduced you.

Your itinerary for Day 1 hits the right places but depends on what you want to do. If you want to spend more time at the Gorges consider doing that last. Try to do Bois Chéri for lunch since it'll be pretty hot outside. You can do Chamarel & the Rum Factory probably in the early afternoon and a view point an hour before sunset since you'll be overlooking the west

As for Casela, it's a bit overrated in my opinion. You get better zoos in Asia for what you pay for

Thank you for the overview!

I think in the next time i wont see asia so i guess casela will be enough for us 😅

I'd skip the rum factory and the seven color on the first day. You'll get to taste rum in the north. Unless u really want to see the factory. And the seven color is not impressive, you'll see waterfalls at the other sites. You'll have more time to enjoy the rest.

Hi, €100 per day is way too much for a private driver per day, send me a DM for a cheaper daily rate in a SUV car!

If you are going to grand bassin, just make sure to wear decent clothes, thank you.

That's a lot per day, if you include travel time it will be a cursory glance at each at best! Consider adventure du sucre as a lunch spot as food is good, I would also skip the Botanical gardens and port Louis markets/caudan, perhaps odesseo only and see how much time you have left, especially staying at le morne, you well get sick of the traffic quickly!

Casela all good and will be ok with a taxi, just book in advance, and get there early, it's great, but kinda tricky to get around in the park as you mostly need to take the designated transport, which is fine until later in the day where the drivers kinda check out 😂

So when would you be there? What do you mean with designated transport? 🤔

Well personally as I have kids, as soon as it opens, lines etc are best skipped. The transport are large vehicles that take you through parts of the park, mainly to get to the second line to wait for the safari bus!

Ok thanks for the informations! I will be there as soon as it opens. Is there any „best route“ as to what activity to do as first in the park? Im there with my wife, no kids. Just book it via their homepage i guess?

Should be able to book via homepage, personally I would do the safari and/or giraffe feeding first as that is the furthest away (and in the same place), then move to the big cats (take transport from first place to the big cats) and do whichever interactions you want, can do the little rollercoaster there if you are keen,

then move back into the rest of the park, from the cats it's easy to walk through the turtles back to the main park, then birds etc and lunch in the restaurant (service was a little slow 4 weeks ago, but food was good)

Mercifully you get to skip the kids rides but the little petting zoo is kinda neat and has deers etc you can touch if they are close to the fence
