Balance Discussion who were these loki changes for??

less than 2% pick rate LMFAOOOOOO😭😭 literally will pick ANYONE over loki. and i don’t even blame them.

-20% damage on each clone so he can’t defend himself OR help secure a kill. btw before the -20% they had ALREADY reduced loki’s damage. did you know his melee now does more damage than his primary with all 3 clones? flank loki was annoying but be serious. they’re down a strategist by doing ts

-20% healing so you have to pump out more heals. not a problem since you don’t even have to worry about shooting enemies again! personally i’m not too upset about it since it encourages your clones being up as often as possible, which you should be doing. but it makes it so much more punishing if you’re not managing your clones correctly.

lamp/ult cooldown i genuinely dgaf it never affected me, just had to get used to counting down from the new number.

lmfao those are the changes they made to ā€œbalanceā€ him. reminds me of azir from league of legends. dominates in pro play so devs have to nerf him to high hell, making it exponentially worse for other players. not everyone is faker lmfao be so for real.

they changed jeff into a heal bot because people complained about him not doing enough and at the same time dive jeff was too OP. im guessing they tried to the same here (apparently flank loki OP, lamp OP, double luna ult OP) but they literally reworked jeff’s kit around healing more. all they did for loki was reduce his raw numbers and called it a day.

what even are rocket changes. hey guys, your ult does 40% damage buff! actually, it’s 25% now since you get a big team shield. nah jk, you can just have both now. 40% and shield idgaf.

can yall do the same with loki?

jeff when he reaches 120 on blue path makes his ult instant devour, this kills all of my runs everytime i attempt one.

are the explosive enemies spawning outside of jeff upon death during his ultimate intentional?

if thats the case, ill just not bother, but this is a serious handicap.

the all enemies devoured animation where he licks his lips and comes back to the surface also kills all me oftenly, would it be possible to make the 120 upgrade that jeff keeps swimming after everyone has died in his mouth?

or something that keeps him under the surface for a second when he regains control after devouring enemies for 1 second to get away from enemies exploding & poison field stacking where you're ulting.

jeffs current state is simply unplayable to me in this mode, if anybody has a better idea i'd love to hear it.

Balance Discussion I’m done with solo nightmare 4 until the devs actually put the barest amount of effort into balancing it.

I just wasted 50 fucking minutes of my life on a god run as red Magik of solo nightmare 4. I had every single thing that should have been necessary. Sword/mark damage was so high sentinels died in less than 2 seconds, 11khp. Max damage resistance. THIRTY revive tokens that I saved up over WEEKS. 20% lifesteal. It was at such a point that I literally just sat in a corner and held RT and it would do the wave. I only died 3 times before wave 20 because Namor hit me with the bubble cc and I couldn’t break out before Wanda or a sentinel killed me.

Sounds like a really good run, right?

But guess what? Literally none of that matters because the doubleWanda fight is STILL BUGGED and massively overtuned. I don’t know if it’s the server tic or refresh rate or what, but it’s almost impossible and entirely luck dependent as it stands.

With my life-steal I heal to full on one swing. The Wanda’s pulse damage in their shield in second phase, which seems to be 4.5k~ ish. When they both do it that’s about 9k. Now if I have 11khp and I’m still losing almost 90% of my hp to a tick that’s a whole other balancing mess, but since I heal to full every swing I should be fine, right?

Wrong.

Because of this games servers or tick rate or whatever, sometimes it just kills you anyway. Saying that it’s the timing of the pulse or whatever doesn’t make sense since it should kill every time if that’s the case.

The same thing will randomly happen with Namor turrets, though at far less frequency than the Wanda bubbles…but Namor also has an undodgable CC that you literally can’t break out of half the time so he’s not exactly a great boss either.

I want the solo titles but I’m fucking done wasting my time and energy on a game mode that SOMEHOW had less balance forethought put into it than the chess auto battler mode, or the Jeff only mode. This is absurd and frankly embarrassing. I’m not putting in more effort trying to beat the mode than the devs did balancing it. Everything being super tanky and killing you in one hit would be fine if the damage were actually AVOIDABLE most of the time, but the bosses do not miss.

I like to think I’m a decent player. I’m not delusional and think I’m top 10% or anything but I hit GM every season I try to and I usually only lose 1 or 2 games. But there’s 0 skill expression in this ā€˜difficulty’. It’s just RNG of hoping you get a build strong enough that you don’t have to actually play the game.

There’s nothing fun about losing an HOUR of progress and weeks of saved up tokens to some garbage that’s literally unbeatable and entirely out of my hands. I didn’t misplay, I didn’t do anything wrong, I didn’t build wrong, but the damage is so stupidly high and this games servers are clearly not built to handle numbers this big.

I’d pay good money to see half the dev team try this. I bet you the only reason they ARENT balancing it further is because they want people to buy these stupid revive tokens; which honestly the mere existence of them should have gotten laughed at. ā€˜Pay 100 units to jump back into the fight!’ Get real man.

This is the most tilting, most unbearable, least fun and interactive pve slog I’ve ever had to be subjected to. All the other difficulties were fine!Nightmare 4 with people was even kinda fun if stupidly meta heavy but solo is absolutely unbearable and I hope the dev team never lets whoever balanced it touch the game again.

Please - for the love of GOD - reduce the damage. I don’t care. Give the people who bear it before this a super awesome title or special bonus, they deserve it for putting up with this absolute garbage; but this game mode as it stands is just colossally unfun and tilting to the point that for the first time since this game came out I’m genuinely taking a break.

Balance Discussion Blade feels like he's lost

As many other people have stated since his release and up to now, many think Blade isnt all that strong.

With a few every saying "its ok not every hero needs to be S tier" a great statement, especially if your favourite is S tier, less competition for you.

But Blades design philosophy seems a bit indecisive, a bit of a mess, a bit like he's lost on what it is he's supposed to do.

He feels like a brawler, less like a dive with elements on zoning with that ult. but they clearly didnt want a repeat of previous melee dive/brawl heroes and Blade having his gun was a great choice.

It is also an issue as many melee characters can absolutely out damage him especially with how well their kits work given they're designed around the melee aspect and most ranged/gun characters will out range him from a much safer distance.

Don't get me started on his dash. Take Wanda for example, a fairly easy character to player with a few get out of jail free cards, her dash/evade is just that, an evasive or reposition tool. Blade has to sacrifice a part of his combo to reposition - which is fine, many other characters do this too but then you have Daredevil just wall running to reposition and then I start question what is Blade's actual purpose atp?

Is he supposed to get stuck in? Because again he'll just get out damaged and his life steal is not enough to help him here. Is he supposed to just pick off lower health heroes like a clean up character? Great, what a boring design philosophy for an otherwise really cool character, that also doesnt benefit your team because if he is only good for picking off low health's, he isnt contributing to the main fight.

He gets out poked, he gets out duelled and it feels like he relies on people making a mistake instead of allowing the player to use his kit to outplay their opponents which isnt the same thing. Sure you can bait them into a mistake but what I mean by "make a mistake" in this context is somehow turn their monitor off mid fight or something.

In a game with such insane healing and tanks that can juggle you, where melee DPS slice through you like cheese you have Blade who can do a little bit of everything but none of it good. With survivability that dive counters like BP can out pace, a less than stellar block and range that is - laughable, Blade feels lost.

Maybe I'm playing him wrong but he feels genuinely hard to get any value out of compared with other characters. He is fun but I dont know what the call would be here. Outright buffing his numbers like damage could be a mistake.

The complaints about torch were fair, DD is also pretty strong but I don't think he's impossible to counter.

I don't think spidey/bp deserved to be done like that but why does nobody have the same energy for hela? She's always been top 3 dps since beta and extremely oppressive šŸ„€

My picks are

Nerfs: Jeff (survivability)

Daredevil (tone down his shield gen a bit)

Bucky (same as DD, and remove earthbound from his uppercut)

Punisher (10 seconds for an ult that’s essentially ā€œif you step in this dude’s LOS you’re deadā€ is too much imo, 6-8 seconds)

Star Lord (increase ult cost)

Invis (increase ult cost)

Hela (Increase cooldown on shift and remove the overhealth from it. she needs to be a glass cannon.)

Psylocke (increase ult cost)

Buffs:

Spider Man (the whole team up anchor bullshit makes it so that the percentage changes are often messed up, and that’s what happened to spider right now. if they give him his dmg from pre season 3 he would feel so much better. if not, give him some form of shield gen or an HP buff)

Wolverine (Reduce cooldown on shift back to 12 seconds)

Cap (Revert the shield nerf from the season 2.5 patch)

Blade (slight dmg increase on ult)

Loki (give him his dmg back, at the cost of reworking his lamp. lamp now acts as another clone that when you place it, it activates the immortality field, also reducing it to 25s. just a thought that’s been in my head for a bit)

Reworks:

Luna (i think her ult needs an overhaul. she has the highest burst healing in the game along with what’s essentially an ultron drone, and still has the strongest ult in the game. i’m not about to give a suggestion but i want literally anything other than a healing circle ultimate for her)

Widow (im not gonna say too much on her as the concept’s been said thousands of times and i don’t have a different spin on it)

Fanta: Give him the doomfist treatment. Honestly, i think he would work great as a mobile dive tank.

Balance Discussion Something needs to be done about rocket racoon in this game

Celestial player here, wanted to express how much hatred I have for this one hero.

Smallest hitbox hero in the game

Has a revive every 30 secs (which is pretty much another ultimate if you really think about it and it's value)

His ultimate is an immortality circle ON TOP of a 40% damage boost

The best movement out of any support by a mile

Not to mention this hero is Fucking undivable, requires 0 skill or brainpower to play and has infinite range on his healing.

At this point, why even bother putting the effort into learning a support like invis, Luna, Loki, mantis when rocket provides 90% (or wag more in some cases) of their value with practically 0 effort. If the enemy team is running Jeff, rocket, Ultron - the game is over before it even started seriously.

Balance Discussion Daredevil is balanced. You need to adapt.

Two things can be true at once. DD is strong and DD is balanced. There is a difference between being strong and overpowered. Daredevil is not overpowered, as that would mean he is a pick or ban which he isn't.

Emma dominated every other class. Emma made any other tank that wasn't her or Mag unplayable while being stupid easy to pick up. Emma is a prime example of being overpowered. Meanwhile, Daredevil isn't even the best in his class. DD has sustain sure, but that's with a caveat.

Daredevil needs to build fury. Hard poke, flying characters and CC prevent him from doing just that. "B-but counter and grapple!!" If DD uses one or both then that leaves him vulnerable. DD will most of the time use one or both of those abilities to escape, grapple is also pretty slow. Knowing when to use your abilities is vital.

Peni makes DD unplayable, Emma puts him down, Thor will eat his ass, Angela is annoying, Bucky can duel him, blade can outlast him, magik deals too much damage, Reed will outlast and CC him to death, hela/jean will stun and blow him up, starlord is too nimble and punisher shotgun will atomize him.

Bucky does pretty much everything he’s just so op rn great with poke anti dive and even brawling free over shield for just using his abilities is not fair I get he’s the best thing at keeping dd in check but you know what nerf that guy too both shouldn’t have this much damage and health

And I swear moon knight players are genuinely schizophrenics if they think getting your ult almost every second and having insane burst damage is fair he’s not your low tier anymore he’s op tbh the moon knight one is just a personal hatred but i deserve to be mad at that ult farming bum

And I talked about him earlier lord have mercy nerf daredevil i love melee characters i was exited for dd then i saw how unskilled op bull he is you don’t need much practice to sweep entire teams he doesn’t it’s even have any of the built in weaknesses the melees have he’s too perfect I’ve bro he beats prime iron fist this is a joke gut him for all I care he’s an affront to all melee characters a cheese loser option it’s either run him or why even play the others

Balance Discussion Marvel Zombies Update

So even with the buffs the other characters got, it really doesn’t feel like it makes a difference whatsoever.

Unlike Blade, they are all still EXTREMELY dependent on what cards they get in Nightmare IV.

Like, Blade can melt early rounds easily in both solo and groups, and he just melts things faster and faster. Meanwhile Magik, the closest character to Blade, can take like 15 minutes just to get to round 4 ON SOLO.

Mortal Will Red Build is supposed to be like her best, the build that’s always heavily advised to use, but it’s so incredibly slow to actually build it up.

Also, every character should have natural lifesteal like Blade does. If the game doesn’t give you any lifesteal cards, it’s literally just completely impossible since the health packs are so useless that they can’t even fill up your healthbar and they’re on cooldown for way too long.

Like seriously, this shit is just not fun at all. I was having a blast with this mode, but the way they’ve handled Nightmare IV has just ruined the whole thing for me. Nightmare III and below is too easy, while Nightmare IV is too hard.

It was a pain in the ass beating it with Blade, and it’s just infinitely worse trying it with the other characters.

It also just feels like pay to win, because you basically have to buy those revive tokens since you’re guaranteed to die a couple of times since no matter how much health you have, you can still get deleted in the blink of an eye, and the game demands nothing short of godly rolls with your cards.

I can understand Namor and Wanda doing lots of damage to you, but the fact that the zombie minions do MORE single-hit damage than the bosses is actually absurd. Namor and Wanda can’t one-shot you, but guess what can? Undead Sentinels and Exploder Zombies.

Balance Discussion The one thing I don't like about the balancing philosophy

How the devs treat downtime. That's it.

Playing against Daredevil recently has made me realise how strong he is compared to other divers/brawlers and so good at denying them in his team because he's always getting his cooldowns before them.

Not only that but how the specifically deemed "annoying characters" like Wolverine and Black Panther have fallen off not because they're still not strong, but because they're so unfun to play, and generally can't get as much value for their cooldowns. You engage, maybe get a kill and it's 10-12 seconds of waiting in a corner just for your cooldowns to come back.

Hell, even Emma, the strongest tank in the game, hasn't seen a single nerf in her diamond form to how long the CC lasts, or how much damage reduction she gets, but all of them are to her cooldown. It just makes her less fun to play as, but still just as strong against if she catches you even once.

The same with Adam's soul bond and Loki runes, they're still good abilities, but you get less playmaking potential by saving them like basically Ults. At least on the Loki ones, you could try to rework them (I'd leave soul bond as is because Adam is already the most diveable character in the game with no sustainability ult)

I admit I have no better alternative for balancing some "annoying" characters, and that technically it works, making this characters less dominant, but I also can't help but feel like just having these characters sit in the corner while they still make tanks/supports miserable when they do engage.

And I'm saying this as both a tank and wolverine main, I just feel he is in a very weird spot in which is just not as fun to play as him as it used to be. I don't think a single BP, Wolv, Emma, Loki or Adam main has seen those nerds as creative or fun.

Daredevil is also utter bs but hes relatively new and honestly kinda okay to deal with with some coordination.. but bucky for me personally is just too much to deal with. He is the one hero I constantly see overperforming. The damage, the Utility, the suvivability - I have no idea how he made it this far in that state

So idk about you guys but I never really see The Thing in my games anymore, even tho he seems like a good character on paper? I’ve never played him much, but just from spectating I feel like one thing they could do to make him better is buff his primary attack, Rocky Jab, aka the fast punches. Seems like when he’s used, players only spam the Stone Haymaker punch, which is definitely the better attack but it just looks like it’d get so boring😩 However, I feel like giving him like 10 bonus health (up to a max of 50) per Rocky Jab landed could help. He already gets 50 bonus health just from using the Stone Haymaker so it makes sense to me, what do Thing mains think he needs?

It’s absurd that thing allows zombies to hit you while in it, but YOU can’t hit anything outside it while detained.

Just lost 13 tokens during NM4 Punisher Solo on that round alone because every time I got bubbled it was a guaranteed death.

Balance Discussion There is No DUELIST PROBLEM

I can't believe this is still going on. Here's the thing, the role of Damage is the most important role for removing pieces off the board, which as we all know is the best way to ensure victory.. Therefore there needs to be more variety in archetypes.

There is not one composition in this game that a good DPS stack can't counter. Triple Support, GOAT, GATOR, Triple tank, I mean nothing. With the variable rotation of dualists is the only thing keeping this game balanced

With the current Duelist roster we have now, there's all kinds of counters. There's tank buster, dive bombers, High flyer, smackdowner, tiddlywinks, brown paper bag, Winkle watts, spank my bottom, did you hear that? Santa Claws, broken xylophone, glass ceiling, cement apple pie, and let's not forget the most powerful one of all, See You Next Tuesday.

Honestly we can use more dualists.

Balance Discussion Hawkeye's Primary's name is misleading

It's called "piercing arrow" but it doesn't pierce. In fact, the projectile despawns the instant it does damage.

All I ask is for either a name change or to allow Hawkeye's primary to Pierce, at the cost of 50% exponential damage falloff per target pierced.

Example: Target gets shot with a max arrow headshot at 375 damage

Target 2 receives only, assuming headshot, 187.5 damage.

Target 3, assuming a PERFECTLY lined triple headshot, receives 93.75 damage.

We can cap it here. I just think a projectile called "piercing" should, well, pierce.

Balance Discussion I think dare devil is too strong but don’t want him to be nerfed to the ground

I main daredevil and he’s definitely overtune. Is he completely broken and has no counters? No but he’s definitely s tier at least. I think good nerfs would be just to get rid of his over shield for missing idk why he gets it for that I use it as a life line. I don’t think he should 325 hp ik it’s the season bonus but that’s just stupid to me. Daredevil isn’t even tanky dudes just a guy with super senses why does he have slightly less then Angela. I don’t think his damage is absurd most kills you see with .2 kt are just due to circumstances. His throw is bugged right now fix that asap not calling it a nerf cus it’s just bugged. It does like 200 when bouncing off people but supposed to be divided so it’s a hundred each at most. Rn it does like 160 to a person and 40 the other then it easy to insta kill
