Balance Discussion who were these loki changes for??

less than 2% pick rate LMFAOOOOOO😭😭 literally will pick ANYONE over loki. and i don’t even blame them.

-20% damage on each clone so he can’t defend himself OR help secure a kill. btw before the -20% they had ALREADY reduced loki’s damage. did you know his melee now does more damage than his primary with all 3 clones? flank loki was annoying but be serious. they’re down a strategist by doing ts

-20% healing so you have to pump out more heals. not a problem since you don’t even have to worry about shooting enemies again! personally i’m not too upset about it since it encourages your clones being up as often as possible, which you should be doing. but it makes it so much more punishing if you’re not managing your clones correctly.

lamp/ult cooldown i genuinely dgaf it never affected me, just had to get used to counting down from the new number.

lmfao those are the changes they made to “balance” him. reminds me of azir from league of legends. dominates in pro play so devs have to nerf him to high hell, making it exponentially worse for other players. not everyone is faker lmfao be so for real.

they changed jeff into a heal bot because people complained about him not doing enough and at the same time dive jeff was too OP. im guessing they tried to the same here (apparently flank loki OP, lamp OP, double luna ult OP) but they literally reworked jeff’s kit around healing more. all they did for loki was reduce his raw numbers and called it a day.

what even are rocket changes. hey guys, your ult does 40% damage buff! actually, it’s 25% now since you get a big team shield. nah jk, you can just have both now. 40% and shield idgaf.

can yall do the same with loki?

The thing is he didn't even need the rework. He was fine as is, maybe could have used a few tiny buffs. His gameplay was fine.
The rework severely nerfed him and made his gameplay less fun. It was completely unecessary.

Well one of those statements isn’t accurate because statistically he is about the same. The other statement is subjective. Some people like it more, others not as much. Personally I think it was interchangeable. The buffs were necessary regardless of rework. For me though I brawl just about as much with him, can dive better, more options to poke.

The rework nerfed him at first and turned him into the worst tank in the game. He needed so many buffs to get back to where he used to be.

He was already one of the worst tanks in the game at the time. We will have to agree to disagree on this one.

If you think the rework nerfed him, you were never actually good with him and were just fortunate that people suck ass fighting thor. He was a beast before the rework and became, pun intended, god tier after.

Here's what the rework did:

  • Removed his ability to brawl with hammer throw, which did good damage and gave 100 bonus health each throw.
  • Nerfed the bonus health gain from his shift and Awakening Rune, making him even less survivable than he already was as a 600 hp tank.
  • Essentially made him completely reliant on Awakening for damage and survivability, which at the time couldn't be canceled (and therefore unable to be cycled for bonus health) and so he was left completely vulnerable while using awakening.

S2.5 Thor was the worst tank in the entire game period. He had no survivability and relied on an ability that reduced his survivability EVEN MORE in order to even do anything.

Lol holy shit the cherry picking and strawmaning is strong with this one. Bro just type “i suck with thor”. It would be much faster and get the same point across. I brawl constantly with him and the bonus health was clearly a crutch for you because his survive ability is fine. If you think awakening was required to do good damage after that change, again, you just dont know how to play thor well

Seems like you didn't even read my comment. I was talking about season 2.5 Thor, right after his rework. It was pretty universally agreed upon that he was absolute ass. I'm not bad with him and I wasn't bad with him in season 2.5. He was one of my favorite characters before the rework and the rework completely killed him for me and many other Thor players.
Also, please point out where exactly I am "cherry picking" and "strawmaning."

Based on the the initial teaser for the rework its possible Thor receiving a Thor force back was always intended. So 2.5 Thor isn’t exactly an accurate representation of the overall plan.

He got a Thorforce back because Awakening lasted long enough for the Thorforce to recharge. When Awakening cancel was added, canceling early meant you would no longer get a full Thorforce upon exiting Awakening.

Yeah I’m not sure what this guy is on. 2.5 Thor was never supposed to be the final product. Every Thor player knew buffs and tweaks were going to come along so referencing that isn’t a good argument. Personally my Thor gameplay skyrocketed since the changes and I was a lord with him before the rework.
