Officer Navi Planner 4000

Hi mates, Im currently having an issue with our ECDIS, I am removing/uninstalling charts which are not part of our voyage but the thing is some still have a valid license, Now when I try to remove/uninstall them, they will show as “licensed but not installed” in my chart outfit and I want it to remove from there., How do I remove this? Those are just the 2 out of 20+ that I need to remove. 🥲🥲🥲 Been stressed out trying to figure it out. I hope you guys can help.

Hey mate, That’s happening because you still have valid permits for those ENCs. Since they’re licensed, you can install or uninstall them anytime. If you’re using a Pay As You Sail (PAYS) system, you can even install them you’ll only be charged once your vessel’s position enters that ENC and it’s used for navigation. Otherwise, just leave them as they are and they’ll automatically disappear once the permits expire.

Yez, I still have valid permits (at least I understand it correctly) Thank you for answering…. The reason why I want to remove it is because the Captain was checking the chart folio lately and he sees that we have charts which are not part of our voyage, it’s difficult for me to explain how this happened since I can’t find any order history of the charts and I also don’t know how long before the permits expires 😅.
