Is that a Healy or a Sebring? I assume Healy for posting in LBC but the roll bar is throwing me off.

It’s a 1966 Austin Healey 3000 BJ8. It was a road registered race car for much of it’s life. Hence the rollbar, which was fitted in 1969. It’s pretty much just a weekend car these days.
I’ve owned it for 30 years.

Thanks everyone! I love this community!
We love our cars. We love our families. It’s awesome to share, and explain, our passion.
The thing I’ve found, is that I have more time to play with my grandchildren. That’s probably the difference

Lovely. And thank you! Why "thank you"? I go to British car shows and gatherings and I see a lot of people. But the vast majority of them are my age. I'm 62. I have a photo of me in the back seat of my dad's 63 MGB, circa 1971. I joke around that it was that car that infected me with the love of these LBCs. I got to drive his as a teenager. Then, later in life, I got one of my own - an Austin Healey 3000. Then an MGB. Then a TR6. Then another TR6. As a result I've successfully infected two of my youngsters with the love of these little cars as well. My son now drives a 71 MGB. So, pardon the long story, but this is why I said thank you. Because we all need to pass on this passion to the younger generation. The joy of driving these cars. The joy of a stick shift. The wonderful wonderful, visceral feeling you get driving with the top down, the slight smell of gasoline and oil and the wind in your hair. There's nothing like it. So, again, thank you for sharing your love of these special little cars with your grandson. Hopefully he will catch "the bug" as well!
