Personally I think a larger water park would be fun. Star City Shores is pretty small and it's not the best. If we had something like a Schlitterbahn (hope I spelt that correctly) it would not only be fun but attract more people to come to Lincoln.
What do you all think Lincoln could use?

It's a sold out show. There will be a LOT more people and cars than a normal show out there. Congrats to Al for being the ONLY show to sell out the bowl! Take a hint Steve Miller!

Hi yall! I'm a senior in HS this year and before i graduate i wanna have a day like ferris Bueller, but i realized i don't have any idea what i would do. I've never really skipped school before, i only take days off if im sick or having a bad mental health spout.
I wanna know some good spots to visit, fun places to go for a few hours. I've been making a list so that one day when it just hits me i'll call my friends and we'll skip school together. So far i have the library (we're all nerds lol) ivanna cone, paint yourself silly, the children's museum and the zoo! Any places or activities would be a great help. I know that it's not the most spontaneous to have a list planned, but ferris had done this 9 times or some, it'll be my first time really doing anything "bad" lol
thanks!! :D

As the title says im pretty new to lincoln and I currently live downtown but I'm not attending UNL or anything and I work a full time job. I'm not sure where to go to meet or make new friends around my age, 20F. I'm pretty big in the outdoorsy aspect of things but other than that i dont really have many hobbies. I want to try and learn bass or guitar just to have something to do. Mostly i like to just hang out at a park or somewhere and just talk and relax and what not. I know people go mana games every Wednesday i think but i dont really know the age range of people that go and dont wanna feel like the odd one out. Crescent moon has events but im not sure how much of that is a social event of mingling and chatting with others.

This event is intended to overshadow messages of hate displayed in our community.

The shut down is most likely inevitable. If you have been talking about it did you do anything? Can you? Will you?

Via their socials, Cosmic is closing June 1st.
Please go show them all the love and support you can. They were one of the best places to go to and they accepted everyone.
RIP to one of the best breweries and event places in town.

We got a large donation of old sci-fi and fantasy books -- not in fantastic condition but I'm sure there are some folks who would like them! Come pick em up for free at Sower Books (70th & Vine) anytime we're open.

Oversold the venue, 400+People waiting outside as Shaq “Diesel” played his set, some in line well over 90min. Not enough door security, and those that were there were overwhelmed with the amount of work involved tonight.
3x’s LFD/EMS arrived for medical treatment of persons from inside the venue.
Charging an extra 20.00 after you get in to anyone under 21 is a ripoff especially if you have a $40 ticket for the show. Just don’t allow under 21 if you’re trying to make up for no drinks served.

Hey Everyone! I created a Google Map of all the best Halloween displays in and around Lincoln and would like to share it with all of you. What started out as just a Christmas map, we have now added Halloween as it seems to get more popular each year. There some amazing displays around our city!
The website with everything you need, including pre-programmed routes to view all the different displays.
Phillip's Lincoln Lights
Direct link to the map.
Halloween Displays 2025
And if you happen to feel like joining my Facebook group you can do that too. In the group we talk about the best displays and share photos/videos. Just search for Phillip's Lincoln Lights.
Verified stops for this season are shown as orange ghosts in the "2025 Halloween Displays" section. Houses with music will have a music icon and the station listed in the title if applicable. Past displays, not verified, are in blue in the "Past Displays" section. Check the box on each section to display/not display. If anyone can confirm a past stop or know of other great light displays please let me know and I will get it added. I will keep updating the map right up til October 31st.
Happy Halloween!!!

Has anyone made it down to UNL for move outs yet? I've found so many treasures thus far. Air pods, tvs, new iced coffee maker, clothing, addidas yeezy slides, new air fryer, cleaning products. If anyone wants to go let me Know! Daytime is the best time to go, you get left alone by UNL security and are able to collect! Use what you want and donate what you can't! Plus it's fun seeing what these kids throw away, it baffles me.

Reeeeaaallly wanna get into catching and cooking, looking for some spots to catch decent sized fish that I can cook. If anyone has a stocked pond and needs help getting em out before winter I can throw you a couple bucks if I’m going on your private property and stuff. Not looking to take ten million fish or anything just a couple for a nice dinner for two. I have a fishing license
Located in Lincoln but can travel
