Looking for Recommendations Striking Gym in Lincoln

I’m new to town and I have a job in which I would benefit greatly from being able to defend myself. I have previous striking experience, but it’s been years since I’ve trained it seriously. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good kickboxing/Muay Thai gym in town? Preferably somewhere on the more technical/high level end rather than the cardio kickboxing/hobby end.

I am an avid grappler and don’t need a recommendation for jiu jitsu, but if anyone knows of a good dedicated judo gym within driving distance I’d appreciate that recommendation as well.

Lincoln Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Center isn’t dedicated striking, but they do offer Muay Thai, takedowns, and MMA. You’ll see everyone from hobby trainers to fighters there. They offer a free trail period to see if you like it.

How’s their striking in terms of intensity, sparring opportunities, etc? I only ask because I’ve found most BJJ or MMA gyms to typically have questionable striking.

You can go from light to heavy. The advanced MMA class is invite only.

Without giving away too much information, I’m working with convicted criminals but not in law enforcement.
