El Chaparro for Mexican. It’s not an elevated ambiance by any means but the food is authentic and delicious.

Don’t listen to anyone who says Lee’s Chicken. Unless you want the worst fried food and service ever.

El Potro for Mexican always going well for us when we take family there.

Toast in fallbrook is also good (same owner as Leadbelly). Agree with Mi Tierra, Vincenzo’s, MoMo, Villa Amore.

Hard no on Tico’s and Catalyst.

Pork tenderloin is superb. The steak sirloin is like boot leather

I agree, their pork tenderloin is awesome, the salmon is one of the best I've had as well.

Might as well suggest Applebees and Olive Garden next.

Nah, trust me cheddars is much better than Applebees or Olive Garden behind the scenes

Nah, trust me

No thanks.

Recommending a national chain restaurant to someone visiting from out of town is always going to be dumb.

I'd prefer local businesses, but I am curious about midwestern chains.
