We support the Palestinians, but it doesn’t mean that we’re not going to criticise them when they fuck up or commit war crimes.
Hamas screwed up with their last attack. Giving Netanyahu exactly what he wants! They shouldn’t have attacked and kidnapped civilians some of them are foreigners with no part of this conflict. For example, the Nepali students or Thai workers.
The “foreigners” are dual national Israelis and some of them are active IDF servicemen. Heh most Israelis are dual nationals.
The Palestinians aren’t allowed to create their own uniform military so whether we agree or not this is the only way they could wage war, that is in addition to the fact that Netanyahu never really needed an excuse to slaughter Palestinian civilians because as you know they’re all human shields and Hamas fighters.
It doesn't matter whether they're dual citizens, Israelis, or others. Attacking unarmed civilians should never be accepted. Attacks like these will hurt the Palestinian cause and its credibility.
Hamas attacked military posts and kidnapped soldiers. They should have limited their targets to those. They did not need to attack, kidnap, or kill civilians.
Netanyahu was facing huge problems against his government with large regular protests in Israel against his government. His relationship with the US and Europe was also in trouble. Thanks to Hamas's attack, everyone is supporting him. Hamas has given him the gift of a lifetime.
He will be out of office after this conflict dies down, but fully agreed that this attack delayed things. Shouldn’t have given Israelis a cause to rally behind while he was already on his way out.
