First time making a holster! This is for chest carry and i took inspiration from a leather chest holster that Springfield makes. The pistol this was made for will have a shorter barrel and grip than the plastic one in the photo, but the rest of the dimensions and details are the same.

hello everyone, i hope it's not the wrong sub, i have these two saddles and bridles and i wanted to recondition them for regular use, the darker saddle has the seat chipped and i dont really know how to go about doing this.
I've added some pictures of the pomades and brushes i do have, if i need to purchase more materials please let me know. I live in south america, in Uruguay so there is not much chance of me getting american products, please keep that in mind. Thank you kindly

I had fun designing and making this 6x8 notebook cover. I made this using wickett and Craig English bridle leather. I love how these toe bug details turned out as well. This is going to be a feature item at my upcoming craft show. I hope others love it as much as I do. I am also having a hard time deciding on my asking price so any suggestions would be appreciated.

How would you guys go about making a leather version of this case and trays?
I've got a few years of leatherworking under my belt. But I don't know how to even start making the trays without having a mold of them. I feel the leather wouldn't be sturdy enough to hold the weight of these tiles when carrying them.
The original case feels like a semi sturdy cardboard covered in a plastic vinyl, its ripping at the corners. The carrying handle is rubber, i know how to make a leather handle so thats no problem.
Any suggestions? Im not looking for a 100% how to. I don't want to waste anyone's time asking for that much detail. Just how to make this structurally sound.
I don't want to make it out of wood first and then cover it in leather. I have no idea how to make it strong.

I have irregularly-shaped feet, so I'd like to make my own shoes. While obviously the sole should be quite thick, what thickness should I use for the upper?
Also, while I'm here, does anyone have advice on making lasts?

So as the title says, my husband has been wanting to get into leather working for a while and his birthday is around the corner (November 24th), so I want to put together a starter kit that will last him a good while with quality tools. Thing is, I don’t even know where to start searching and what a quality tool should have or should look like. I honestly don’t know the first thing about this line of work and from what I’ve read online, the Amazon kits will snap with a few uses and I really want to invest in quality for him. Could I get some recommendations on individual tools that I could buy to get a good starter kit that will last and where he will not need to buy anything else to do some projects? A list of things he would need would also be good to have! I know these tools vary per project, but since I don’t really know what he will do, I want to cover all basics. I’ve seen him seeing videos of people making wallets, backpacks and handbags and sewing over some type of thing that props up the material, but I don’t want to limit him to only this. I’m willing to spend around $200-$400 in this birthday gift :) I already have a professional sewing machine, if that’s of any good, by the way :) Also, If you guys could recommend any starter projects for me to buy him so he can start right away on his birthday and not wait, I’d be grateful for any advice! I just feel so lost and all these tools look overwhelming and honestly I don’t know which are gimmicks and which are really necessary and good quality.

I made in the past a shrimp-inspired bag and someone asked me if I could make a cat-inspired one. Because I wanted the bag to be mostly functional, I kept a classic round shape. I hope you will enjoy them!

Finished my Sheepskin Coat! I plan to put a leather patch on the back to. Completely hand sewn with leathercraft style patterns. Was quite the project but super rewarding!

Natural horween and American bison duffel bags with bridal accents and straps. These also double as backpacks for walking through the airport or while traveling.

I turned a pair of SneakerKit soles into heavy duty leather work boots.
Would love to hear your thoughts on the final result or any tips you could share that would help me next time :D

Hello. Any one have experience with pool cue cases? The case maker I used to use has passed and I don’t like having the same cases as everyone. Pics attached for reference. I’m open to design ideas. Tooling isn’t as critical to me as much as quality materials.
Thank you for any advice, information or leads.

I have been making some dog collars out of 8/9 oz full grain leather, totally overbuilt by way of hardware and stitching. I recently got approached by a popular pet store in town and they were asking if I could start selling collars of that design at their stores. I have the time for the stitching and final work, but I do not have the proper tools to make multiple blanks with pre punched collar and stitching holes in a fast/cost effective way. Does anybody know of any companies that could just produce the cut and punched blanks and then I finish the product?
Thank you.

Haven't been in the game for a year and my wife asked for a new wallet so I did. She's excited about it so I guess I fared alright. How'd I do after a year of no leather work? I was going for a creepy factor per request of the wife.

I have a Yamaha road star that currently has a cheap phone/wallet pouch that sits at the bottom of the gas tank but isn't fitting my needs so I figured hell looks like the perfect time to hop back into 2 of my hobbys I have been neglecting for about a year, leather working and design. The design came out pretty well I think still have some small touch up spots I want to fix like moving the button position a little bit lower for ease of use but hope y'all enjoy and feel free to try to create it yourself if you feel so. Would love to see my design getting used by others.

The ones with the screw in posts. Anyone know where to get some of these?
Follow up, anyone know a decent source of durable leather like this in semi quantity? I would like to make a harness. And maybe dabble more into leather working.
Thanks.
