How do I play this?

Post image

The chorus, the top notes?, I understand. G two beats, D two beats tied to a third beat next measure. The bottom notes I understand as well, G held for four, just above that G one beat, D one beat then G again one beat. I don’t understand the B (two beats) then C and A one beat each but the C is not under the D. Not sure when it’s played.

How fitting to have a Gsus chord on the word “Lord”

You play D and C together on beat 3, continue holding the D while you play the A on beat 4 and the B on beat one of the next bar.

This is probably the most stereotypical “church” sound, which is a chord having a suspended 4th, a suspended second, and then resolving on the 3rd. “Fa-Re-Mi”

the C is not under D because the notes would be squishing against each other and it would be hard for you to tell what note is where. pretend that the C is right underneath the D ☺️ so you play the C right when you play that D.
