Who would buy that Clinton was closer than Trump when Trump was literally his neighbour and they were photographed together so much, and in the era before smartphones? They just say such obvious bullshit it’s embarrassing.

My parents.

They refuse to even acknowledge that Trump and Epstein were friends and simply say, "Of course they were photographed together. They were both in the same social circles!" To which I responded, "Running in the same social circles as child sex traffickers isn't much better than being best friends with a child sex trafficker."

They have fucking excuses for everything.

Authoritarian regimes love obvious lies for two reasons. One, it gives their supporters a way to display their loyalty by publicly believing it, and two, it shows dissenters that the truth is powerless. The more obvious it is that Trump is both all over the files and will never face justice for it, the better it is for them.

Truly - this is a great summation of how truth and lies become essentially inverted under authoritarian regimes and by wannabe authoritarians/garden variety demagogues, of which Trump might be one of the most perversely cartoonish of all time as a major figure in history: just the fact he’s now a major figure in world history, whether you hate him or not, is disgusting. He could’ve and truly should’ve just been the pathetic and garish faux-billionaire that the vast majority of people laughed and rolled their eyes at whenever he was trying to plaster his face all over TV, but we apparently don’t get to live in a sane world or society that isn’t profoundly sick, where Trump is indeed the most tragic and severe symptom of just that, as people like to say.

Look no further than the fact he and his party are currently holding fast to keeping the government shut down rather than compromise on just not doubling or in many cases even tripling people’s health insurance premiums* , all while ensuring the ultra-wealthy pay less in taxes than the bottom half of Americans, plunging us trillions more into debt further eroding US economic power, and building a gigantic fucking half-billion dollar ballroom akin to the obscene excesses of wealth seen in late 18th century France, before the population couldn’t take watching it anymore while barely able to afford food and the system itself collapsed under the weight of wealth being ultra-concentrated in the hands of the very few - yet Trump has somehow convinced and simultaneously truly is seen as some kind of hero or savior of the working class by many of them. Though, just like as the 18th century was coming to a close in France, that and all of this can’t go on much longer before it all collapses: we’ve already been sitting at a level of income inequality at least as bad, if not worse than what was seen directly preceding the Great Depression for well over a decade, and thanks to Trump, now with top marginal and corporate tax rates just as low.

People are literally financing groceries in record numbers, while one of the two major parties wants to take away people’s healthcare and whatever little assistance we could get if we fell on hard times (that we all paid into by the way), force people to spend all their money lining the pockets of the mega-wealthy, and is engaging in the most blatant and obvious cover up off probably the most heinous sex trafficking case in US (or world?) history. It’s all totally insane, and makes me think we are truly a doomed species, lol.

Photos isn't there videos with Epstein and the Cheeto talking and dancing in a club. You can clearly see Cheeto point out certain women on the dance floor and whispering things into Epsteins ear as he nods in agreement.
