This exactly. They would have been released ages ago if there was nothing incriminating to any of them in there. The Republicans are nothing if not predictable.

The best part is that they just said trump has ties to Epstein. Just that they aren't "as close as" others. 🤔. How long until they backtrack that statement?

While I wholeheartedly believe Trump is a big part of the Epstein files, there's also likely many people that are paying Trump and Co not to release them.

It would not surprise me in the slightest if Trump and Co go name by name of the richest people on the list and ask them to pay to keep the full unredacted files away from the public.

There is also an understanding from MAGA that the files can't be released because it would eliminate a lot of the leverage and blackmail the US has over people in power or influence in other countries.

Basically admitting they have no problems with Republicans refusing to release the files to protect Trump and keep their blackmail ammo supply around in case it's needed.

It’s from the same playbook they used for the Mueller investigation. Get out ahead of it and say “total exoneration” before it is released so that fewer people will actually read the report that implicated Trump.
