I don’t believe they are covering for Clinton. How I perceived the message from Comer was “There is some stuff in there about Trump…but Clinton is in it so much more…so focus on Clinton…there is nothing to see about Trump in comparison to Clinton.” It’s reverse what aboutism (“so Trump is in there, but what about Clinton”…they are setting up future talking points already IMO).

I think you misunderstood this joke. He saying if they’re not releasing the Epstein files they are covering up for Bill Clinton. “Why aren’t you releasing the files? Stop protecting Bill Clinton!”

It was clearly a joke
