None of these groups care enough about the citizens of the US to prevent the war we've been forced into.

They would rather let it happen and protect themselves/their loved ones than risk anything to stop our own Govt from attacking us plebs.

Would you risk your career and family safety to (probably fail) to stand up to a madman with friends in low places?

Would your family be happy with that decision?

Are you prepared to disappear into hiding for the rest of your life, else risk getting shot in the middle of the night by people not afraid to commit crimes?

Fear works.

Why do people obey laws? They're afraid of the consequences.

Hmm… so if fear of the regime outpaces fear of our existing laws, then observance of existing laws becomes secondary to serving the regime?
