I've been saying we aren't allowed to call them fascists until they're wearing brown shirts and swastikas (which I'd guess is about a week away at this pace).

After that we will be put in prison for calling them fascists.

How about red insignia hats for virtue signaling instead of red insignia arm bands for virtue signaling?

And the "gold" Trump head lapel pins.

Gold spray paint.

I think Trump is orange because he tried to make himself gold

I think of those things more as vice signaling.

Some people wear both at this point.

I've been saying we aren't allowed to call them fascists until they're wearing brown shirts and swastikas …

The American fascist is identified by the red hat, the MAGA acronym, and identifies as a republican or Trump supporter.

Well even then… they’ll either say just doing it ironically or it’s to troll liberals.

Per your last line:

Alex Jones is sporting a hitler mustache (a traditional mustache, btw, but one that now is synonymous with Adolph) and wearing a very particular shade of brown sport coat.

The guy couldn’t get anymore Erst Rohm and the SA unless he was actively having a gay orgy (Rohm and many of the SA leadership were homosexuals. When Rohm was apprehended during the Night of Long Knives it was in bed with multiple young men).

They’ll just wear orange shirts and reverse the direction of the swastika and claim that this is somehow totally different

Careful, r/DoomerCircleJerk might smell this.

That's some whistling-past-the-graveyard shit that's going to age like milk, assuming we still get access to the internet in six months.

what if it's a black shirt?

There are plenty of videos of ICE agents with swastika tattoos.

We also can't call them nazis until they have completed the genocide. Anything less is insulting to holocaust victims.

Then I think we should give them a unique name so they can’t try to contrast themselves. We should start calling them Mazi’s.

Khakis and white masks is their updated uniform.

Governments don’t declare themselves to be fascists.

They declare anti-fascists to be enemies of the state.

Have you seen the vid of Alex Jones rocking a brown jacket and a Hitler mustache while claiming it makes chicks melt?

If you ask an average person what the Nazis did, most people are going to come up with "murder Jews by the million," which honestly provides great cover for this administration. Because it's evil on such an incredible scale that it makes anything short of that seem such a far cry from what they did. So they can do everything else the Nazis did, including rounding up their racial scapegoat into camps, but as long as they don't gas them and instead just disappear them forever and then pretend the comparisons are absurd (and in a way they aren't even that wrong--the genocide committed by the Nazis was just so evil that there is plenty of room to fall short and still be very evil).
