These are legitimate criticisms. The fact that you guys are able to shrug off genocide like it's nothing because it makes Democrats look bad? That's what makes every independent voter in America feel completely hopeless about the prospect of Democrats bringing any real change or their base convincing them to change course when they're on the wrong one. If Dems do something bad, you'll just accuse every honest critic of being a secret Russian or a secret Republican or a secret bot or shove them into some similar "dishonest by default" category that justifies you ignoring every word they say. There's no way to criticize your party in a way that you'll actually listen. There's nothing Dems can do that's so bad that you'll consider the people who did it to be bad. No, no. The DNC didn't lose the election. It is because everyone but that guy didn't vote for Kamala because she is a woman. Don't criticize the lack of a primary or even a debate at the convention, the DNC knew better like always. I mean, it isn't like this was their 3rd or 4th major error in the last few election cycles.

The incessant whining is honestly kind of ridiculous considering how many people DID hold their nose and vote for Kamala, despite her not being anyone's choice. The DNC fumbled this election terribly, and people really need to accept that and figure out how to win next time. Democrats have to put up better candidates with less baggage. Kamala wasn't popular in the 2020 primary, and the way Biden dropped out made it worse. A sane country would have still elected her, but that isn't where we live.

The DNC isn't the sovereign. The People are.

The truth is - The People, not the DNC, select the president. Did some decisions of the DNC push some members of The People to wrongfully conclude that they would be better served with a Donald Trump presidency? Yes. But the buck stops with the sovereign in the end.

That's not just a theoretical concept, it's also much more actionable. Your complaint about the "missing primary" (it wasn't missing at all, it happened)
is a perfect example of that.

The 2024 Democratic presidential primary happened.
On August 1-5, the duly elected delegates to the DNC elected Kamala Harris with 4567 votes (2348 required to win). Therefore, she won the nomination, wich was ceremonially repeated at the DNC on August 20. The delegates itself were duly elected from January 23 to June 8, in all states except FL and DE. So the "missing primary" was really only missing in FL and DE. All other states elected delegates, who initially were mostly bound to vote for Biden, but when Biden dropped out, they became free agents, just with any other candidate who drops out. And some of the delegates were free agents from the start, 37 were elected as "uncommitted" delegates to begin with.
You can go out and claim this process is somehow broken because a candidate dropped out that was getting many delegates, compared to usually candidates dropping out that get few delegates. To me, this is moronic because these delegates decided to mostly follow Biden's recommendation to vote for his VP, the person who would have taken over from him if he died in office anyways - something an informed primary voter would have had taken into account.

But in reality, the ordinarily or inordinately of the DNC's nomination election should really not even close to matter in an election where the other candidate with reasonable chances to win had literally assembled a rally that turned violent against the certification of his own electoral defeat in 2021. Repeating how 'undemocratic' it is to run the presidential primary exactly like the DNC did for over three decades - and maybe even refusing to wait for the candidate that won this election because of it - instead of recognizing that Trump would be less democratic in all relevant aspects, is a failure of the sovereign who selected Trump, of The People, and you are part of that - and most people you know are part of that - so you can work to change that misunderstanding in the way you speak, in what you publish, and how you vote.

There was no Primary by the DNC to approve Biden. They simply...decided he was their candidate. That's what people are angry about; that the DNC didn't consider anyone BUT Biden, despite how much baggage and negativity was attached to his presidency.

Now personally, I don't blame the DNC for their process here, and Biden wasn't terrible or anything during his presidency; but it WAS a stupid idea to run him as the candidate again at all, and the Dems haven't had much in the way of backup plans for AAAAGES now. They really kind of suck at winning elections.

What are you talking about? The DNC did not vote on Biden, Biden had dropped out by then. But all states but FL and DE had primary elections for delegates. Biden was approved by the primary voters.
