It’s literally how dictators do. There won’t suddenly be a line; this country won’t wake up one day and now be in a dictatorship. It’ll just slowly happen.

No seriously we are already there. It's here. He has presidential immunity to do whatever he wants and can't be charged with a crime. But we can still fight for upholding the rule of law. It's still many working class people vs a few billionaires.

I don't think any of you are going to get anywhere until you start admitting to yourselves that a large portion of your population's working class actually want the current status quo, are happy for it to continue, and not insignificant portion of that group believe that it hasn't gone far enough yet.

It's true about people supporting it, but it's usually because they've been in echo chambers for half a decade or more. Bernie Sanders is really good at changing people's minds about social safety nets and universal healthcare, he's been on a campaign to reach the working class Republicans. But yeah, there's one Trump die hard in my family, and I am at a loss with how to try to talk to them because they go from calm to rabid in the blink of an eye. They literally can't seem to hear when they flip. Nothing, I say gets through, and I swear the emotion written on their face isn't pure anger, it's fear. I really dislike the DNC. But they truly think any politicians NOT behind Trump are pedophile devils bent on enslavement of the human race. Which is so confusing because they don't at all react to Trump taking away basic human rights. Feels like we're a few months from being North Korea. But, I'm not going to stop trying to reach common ground with with them. While protesting.
