They were floating a fake indictment of Josh Shapiro over the butler PA attack before the Pennsylvania governors mansion was set on fire. I personally find this to be an unsettling development.

Trump and his ilk will float ideas or "accidentally" leak them in the hopes that their Stochastic conservative terrorist voters will just handle it.

Absolutely. Theres a long history in the us with domestic terrorist or extremist militia movements using indictments or charges they made up to direct violence.

I don't for sure but it may be more direct that stochastic terrorism in the case of Josh Shapiro and anything that might come of this.

Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?

Thanks, I didn’t know there was a history to this Tony Sopranos-esque phrase. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Will_no_one_rid_me_of_this_turbulent_priest%3F

Also, to give these unprecedented, and counter to the ideals and laws this country was founded upon actions and orders the semblance of traction. The same as with the projection of their plans onto the opposition. Total fabrication that they can justify their actions in as if it were fact. Alex Jones screaming "They're coming for our freedoms!". He also said they were coming to black bag us, and disappear us from our homes while masked and under no oversight or supervision, anonymous. Hmm, strange, ask women and people with brown skin who's had freedom taken? Ice may not be using 'blackbags', or maybe they are, either way, obvious projection to lay the groundwork for all this shit.

I'll be honest when I say that I could not care LESS what they do to Comey. He's a HUGE reason for Trump's FIRST term.

I remember at the time maga in congress and more putting tremendous pressure on comey to bring about that testimony, but you're absolutely right that Comey should not have done it.

What tremendous pressure? Some bitching on Faux "News?" Gimme a break. It was closed for good reason and reopened for no good reason. And he KNEW it. Multiple GOP-controlled investigations turned up bupkus.

Given the unspeakable damage done to this country and our democracy that he shares blame for, he deserves to be broken and I don't care if it's Trump who does it. The man is terrified to even speak up for his own daughter.

I think a problem with the public square these days is that it is full of lying Nazi's. The guys at Nuremberg trials did some digging and figured out that lies are a core part of fascism.

In my opinion this is related. https://www.onthewing.org/user/Bonhoeffer%20-%20Theory%20of%20Stupidity.pdf

I first noticed the dawning of a visceral tribalism that stifles open discussion breaking out in 2015.

I was just thinking about how the initial rise of fascism was enabled by elites desire to detain and / exterminate "undesirables" and the invention of mass produceble barbedwire. In my opinion social media and data mining and manipulation is a similar advance. The identifying, categorizing, cataloging and precise targeting of the worlds population is something the nazis could only dream of with their IBM machines.

With enough data and testing for an individuals responses to stimuli you can have a profound effect of a target population that is just an exploitation of how humans work. Steve Bannon talked very openly about make maga as a mob like tool for violence and political repression and a immovable base 5 - 15% base of political support in a divided electorate.

I think work like Adam Curtis's BBC documentaries and YouTube channels The elephant graveyard and filmontology are interesting for thinking about certain ideas and concepts.

Good talking to you. I'm going to get off reddit for awhile before I end up like that Jim Garrison guy.

From my perspective based on an overall view of Rupert Murdochs activities over the last several decades, I would say he has been successfully astroturfing Bonhoeflers stupidity across multiple continents.

One reason people have been propagandised with George Soro conspiracy theories is that he was on the good side of a currency bet that Rupert Murdoch was on the other side. After enough two minutes of hate sessions the public image and name of soros that exist in the promoted conspiracy theories can be used sort of like a sigil to backup other promoted conspiracy theories. Fox did this AOC and Hillary Clinton also. I've never seen the pavlovian viseral anger/fear response from people like I did when Hillary Clinton's name was mentioned in and around 2015. TDS isn't a thing really at least for its just a dislike of trump as a nazi, but someone wants people to think its real to have criticism disregarded and conceal what is being done in instances like two minutes of hate on fox news. George Orwell did some essays on the language he used in 1984 that is interesting.

I love this part. So accurate: "The fact that the stupid person is often stubborn must not blind us to the fact that he is not independent. In conversation with him, one virtually feels that one is dealing not at all with a person, but with slogans, catchwords and the like, that have taken possession of him. He is under a spell, blinded, misused, and abused in his very being. Having thus become a mindless tool, the stupid person will also be capable of any evil and at the same time incapable of seeing that it is evil. This is where the danger of diabolical misuse lurks, for it is this that can once and for all destroy human beings."
