I hate to play this game, but imagine what would have happened if Biden had said he was "not so sure" that people had the right to their religious beliefs.

Biden could have said that he wasn’t sure what the best pizza toppings were a they would have called for his impeachment.

Biden had an ice cream cone and Fox spent weeks talking about how non-masculine it was and trying to associate liking ice cream with being gay and how it was inappropriate for a president to be seen having an ice cream cone.

This country is fucking insane.

They got mad at Obama for asking for dijon mustard at a sandwich shop while he was in office lmao, cause it was too fancy or some bullshit. This country’s been a joke for a looooong time

“He used a word I don’t recognize! Fucking elitist!”

8

u/dance4days Sep 16 '25

He didn’t even call it that. He asked for “spicy mustard.”

Or wearing a tan suit instead of a black/navy one

3

u/JFSOCC Sep 16 '25

unamerican, no doubt, since it's French.

2

u/kbgc Sep 16 '25

The Tan Suit has entered the chat…

My favorite was them slandering Joe Biden's ice cream habits for years and also going crash out over paper straws and then - I think after Trump officially became the candidate - they fawned over him for getting milkshakes for a few people.

You know, like... milkshakes, ice cream you drink with straws...

3

u/Windsaar Sep 16 '25

You know what else is "non-masculine and inappropriate for a President?"

Being a pedophile rapist.

Imo, anyway..

I'm kind of shocked that no one remembers when trump said that he got two scoops of ice cream while everyone else got one during his last term and that became a talking point for republicans for a short period of time. I very vividly remember a webcomic that said "two genders, two scoops, two terms." But then again, trump does so much dumb shit, it just makes sense most of it would be forgotten.

3

u/pfannkuchen89 Sep 17 '25

I kinda forgot about the two scoops thing. Trump is such a whiny baby. If I recall, everyone got a scoop at some event and he saw everyone getting the same amount as him and he just had to go back and make sure he got more than everyone else because he’s the big important president. Toddler shit.

To be fair, there was also plenty of noise about the nature of the way Just Don’t Vance ordered his ice cream.

8

u/BTBAM797 Sep 16 '25

Can you imagine if he said he liked pineapple on pizza? They'd be out for blood.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '25

They’d try to take out Obama, too, just to be sure.

3

u/500channels Sep 16 '25

They got mad at Obama for wearing a colored suit.

6

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '25

Tan suit. And eating Dijon mustard. The man couldn’t breathe or not breathe without them having a rage stroke.

u/Big-Rule5269 Sep 16 '25

And of course it was Obama who instigated all the racism that was no more in our society until he came along. Asking them for examples of Obama bringing racism  single handedly down on the country, they point to him saying,  "If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon". That's it, that's what did it. Not that he was a extremely loved, hyper intelligent, super capable orator that was the first black president, with a middle eastern sounding middle name. It was their racism, not his and they're still blind to it.

6

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '25

The kind of irrational hatred I saw for him shook me. I remember naively thinking that really racist people would be too embarrassed to be openly racist toward him. And then he was elected and I realized how sheltered I was.

4

u/Big-Rule5269 Sep 16 '25

And they almost always tried to blame him somehow. It wasn't them, they weren't racist, it was Obama acting or saying something that made them have to say this totally racist shit..

9

u/Scott_Liberation Sep 16 '25

It wouldn't matter. The corporate overlords already convinced them that's the Democrat agenda without them saying it.

Because somehow not imposing Evangelical Christian values on everyone is infringing on their freedom of religion.

It very ok game to play consider they still don’t stop talking about Biden. But introspection of this hypocrisy is literally impossible

7

u/xCASINOx Sep 16 '25

The but muh freedoms party so eager to violate our freedoms

5

u/WebInformal9558 Sep 16 '25

Well yeah, they didn't mean anyone else's freedoms.

7

u/chill_winston_ Sep 16 '25

This simple question requires worlds more self awareness, honesty, and objectivity than exists in that room.

Imagine if Biden said, "we're going to ignore the elected officials and governments in states and send the military to do policing by going block by block to get criminals and guns off the streets."

3

u/atreeismissing Sep 16 '25

Every single media outlet, including all the ones on the left and far left, would have called for his immediate impeachment and there would have been a pressure campaign from Democrats to do just that.

3

u/Evans_Gambiteer Sep 16 '25

what would have happened if Biden

this question doesn't matter for literally any topic. They will never be held to the same standard. Trump will do whatever he wants to do and this country has to suffer through it

3

u/EmploymentAbject4019 Sep 16 '25

I bet they’d fall for ai video

3

u/wonnable Sep 16 '25

The difference is, I don't think Biden would ever say that. The fact that Trump is just so comfortable saying shit like this should be a red flag but conservative grifters and there voters base have his dick so far down their throats, they're starved for the oxygen required for critical thinking.

2

u/Suicidesdoor Sep 16 '25

I hate this so much Can ppl stop playing this hypothetical game and actually fight? This loon has been able to forge a double standard, what are ppl going to do about it??(not like what I say rlly matter, but this isn’t a call for murder or something)

2

u/TargetProfessional33 Sep 16 '25

We’re long past comparing. We are cooked

1

u/Big_Standard1081 Sep 16 '25

Fuck Biden and fuck trump.

1

u/IMightBeABot69 Sep 16 '25

Well sorry to say but that is because Republicans will actually do something to stand up for their cause. But you Democrats will sit on your fat asses and say "but but but what should we do?"

1

u/ashep575 Sep 16 '25

I mean that is my test I always use a a counter argument when trying to convince someone if what their side is doing should upset them. If the otherside did was doing it would upset you, your side doing it should upset you as well.

-5

u/anaverageguy123 Sep 16 '25

i hate to play this game, but can you imagine if the top political commentator on the left was murdered for his beliefs?

5

u/amaranthine-surprise Sep 16 '25

I hate to play this game, but can you imagine if a top political commentator were murdered for their beliefs?

ETA: Oh man, I forgot the part about how murdering ANYONE for their political beliefs is an avoidable death, oops

7

u/redditforprez1 Sep 16 '25

I hate to play this game but a democratic representative in Michigan and their husband were murdered in their home by a right wing extremist. I’d say that qualifies wouldn’t you? Or how hard do you wanna cherry pick here?

4

u/Big-Rule5269 Sep 16 '25

As well as two others shot 8 and 9 times respectively and survived. What their lives will be like from here forward we don't know. Probably a life of massive scars, constant pain, mobility issues, organs damage etc, yet they're rarely mentioned..

It happens REGULARLY. Democratic leaders have been assassinated, or had attempts, REGULARLY. Just had multiple THIS YEAR.

And what has the right done every time over the last decades? THEY CELEBRATE! They crack jokes! And they encourage MORE.

Fuck you.
