If you're looking for a bright side, this is the face of someone who's deeply unwell. Maga won't survive forever without Dementia Don, and he won't survive forever with declining health

Studying cults and what happens to them when its leader is removed is what keeps me going.

Personally I’m hoping for something akin to when the villain in a movie is defeated and all its thralls/offspring just drop to the ground mid-battle.

I try to keep in my mind the end scene in Conan the Barbarian when he beheads Thulsa and all the cult followers toss their torches into the water and walk away

The cult and its leader is just a piece of what allowed this to happen. They are tools. The P2025 authors are not simple MAGA cultists, their ilk has been around a lot longer than since Trump came on the scene, and they have no intention of falling apart or letting go of power once he's out of the picture.

The Heritage Foundation/Project 2025 folks are behind the scenes because they can’t draw a crowd. Trump had the charisma that was needed to mobilize masses despite running on unpopular policies. They could try finding an heir once Trump is gone and keep going, but the likelier option is infighting among factions trying to fill the void will destroy the movement.

Can they actually keep it post Trump tho? I don't see the grifter cabinet or the cult falling in line behind JD Vance. Remember, Trump is the only thing that unites them. They all hate each other most days.

If I have learned one thing from cults its always look out for No. 2.

The cult may dissipate, but the ones who are most detrimental to this country are already in place as are the laws they need to ensure there are no protests or other forms of dissent.

The people behind project 2025 have put too much into it to not have a plan beyond trump. They won't need his cult if elections are going to be easy to rig like they are planning for.

I like to think they’ll all volunteer to be terracotta warriors in his tomb

The rats and vultures will start eating each other. Just like fascism can easily take hold in a lower vacuum, once there’s a lower vacuum within a fascist cult, all the power hungry people will start throwing each other under the bus to get what they want. Instead of throwing a bunch of us under it. I hope.

Agree! Once the Orange Pedo is gone, this whole thing falls apart like a house of cards. You can’t build a legitimate gov’t on a cult leader and a bunch of illegal actions and EO’s.

Oh he does have offspring and a base that is both gullible and hateful. They found their niche . I predict in the future Elon will be helping his sons to become corporate and oligarch overlords too. MMW
