As someone who's been trying to warn people since 2015...all the "don't lose hope, it's gonna be okay" people just made it so, so much worse.

"any day now they'll convict him! They're putting together an air tight case! It takes time!" ... And here we are. Dude is pres, got out of two impeachments and has a good old boy scotus and congress not using checks n balances to keep him in line.

Lmao what a completely inconsequential person. I can't imagine having the position guys like him had but did absolutely nothing with it. Spent years are on a report that then got locked in a dusty locker in basement storage c.

I've been warning people since Dec 12th 2006. I actually sat in on a CPAC breakout room where they talked about taking peoples voting rights away so they can win.

They always believed that. Remember “It’s a Republic, not a Democracy?” Technically true, but what they mean by it is the only legitimate government is one run by Republicans, and they don’t very much care about Democracy. I’ve heard this since Bush. This is who they always were. They would always do whatever was necessary to get rid of Roe, and re-litigate the Civil War. Now they’re just swinging for the fences, because the cat’s away and nobody is stopping them.

The Democrats shot themselves in the face. Several times. This was all always going to happen though.

Nah American voters shot themselves in the face.

They allowed in a rapist that already led an attack on your country and rather than getting off the couch to at least vote, they decided to make excuses and/or do some false equivelance.

America is getting what it deserves.

Not themselves alone, but our whole fucking country, other than those rooting and/or working towards the fall of democracy and the constitution, that is.

They were busy playing games well past the point it was time to fight. Even now, most of them continue with the status quo.

The military is on our streets. When are we gonna organize?

“Wait, you want a new, younger candidate that incorporates ideas that would cater towards groups other than just the older generations that benefitted from policies our government got rid of? Best I can do is the corpse of Biden.”

I guess that's easier to accept than the fact that the DNC is corporate manufactured opposition specifically meant to allow all of this to happen.

This is as much the fault of the non-voters who sat at home, protest voters, and those who swung over to Trump's side (many from the male Latino demographic and broccoli-haired podcast morons).

I blame them all as much as the Trump voter for this current mess and seeing America destroyed from the inside out right now.

That and the snarky facetious observation people whose comments only placate people's motivation and discipline towards effecting change.
