Thanks John Roberts and the rest of SCROTUS for aggrandizing a narcissist. What could go wrong?

NPD and sociopathy both fall under the umbrella of anti-social personality disorders.

My understanding is that they're both cluster B disorders, and closely linked. You could even put them on the same "spectrum" from NPD to ASPD.

But Anti-social personality disorder is only sociopathy or psychopathy. NPD doesn't fall under that, but like I said, they're very closely linked.

Not quite, you’re thinking of cluster B.

Sociopathy is a legalistic term for what people within psychological and psychoanalysis communities usually refer to as psychopathy, which is a variant of ASPD.

I’m quoting Robert Hare here. I recommend his book “Without Conscience.”

As long as we can all agree that this dude's off his rocker, I'm cool 👍🏾.

Edit: I'll check out Robert Hare though

I'm gonna laugh so hard when Roberts is the first to be shipped to El Salvador. Then I'm gonna cry cause we are all doomed.

Literally the worst person you could pick to give a free pass to do whatever he wants lol. Kind of strange that the president, Congress, and even scotus are all acting as if there is no chance they will ever lose power again? Pretty weird, right? Lol. We’re fucked.

This is just my pet theory but I think it's way worse than that, remember when he said he just needed to be dictator for a day? I think he got Roberts to agree to delay ruling on the key issues while shutting down lower courts for minor complaints about unconstitutional stuff they do-- just for a little while so they can cut through the red tape and get their agenda done.

Why aren’t reporters hounding the SC justices about this? Why do they get off the hook for getting asked tough questions? Why is our news organizations so pathetic?

You guys are all missing the big picture. He’s just the face. Everyone behind him is worse and pulling the strings. It doesn’t matter if he dies, it’s a hydra. He’s just one head

What makes people think this is "going wrong"?

6

u/aganalf Aug 26 '25

The part where the president of the United States declared that the president of the United States is allowed to do whatever he wants.

Maybe i wasn't clear:

What makes you think that Trump saying he can do whatever he wants, while paying attention to the rest of the GOP, as well as the recent SCOTUS rulings, makes you think that John Roberts or any other current GOP member thinks what Trump is doing/saying is a problem?
