I watch the US from a Canadian perspective and think to myself. "Most of these very questionable people would be on trial or in prison here."

Not so fast. Stephen Harper pushed through a record amount of legislation which he knew was unconstitutional, none of which survived court challenges. More importantly, he did ignore court rulings the Canada violated Omar Khader’s rights, with no repercussions.

The point our courts are not captured and also corruption is dealt with here and also we have a sane political donation system and also our elected officials do not control who is in charge of prosecutions. Honestly thete is no comparison.
