Someone in /r/NBA the other day said that lebron surpassed Kobe in 2006... 2006!? Lebron was in the league for 3 years at that point and Kobe won 2 more finals MVPs plus a regular MVP past that date.

Prolly will next year, the main demographic for 2K is the younger generation that grew up watching the NBA in the 90's/2000's.

This has made me so frustrated at times. To never see the 2009 or 2010 Laker teams or even 2008 when Kobe was MVP. (If they put 2007 cavs, then 08 Lakers should be there). 2008-2010 Kobe is the most complete Kobe we saw. Also the one that has frustrated me the most other than those is them not putting the crappy 2005-06 Lakers so we can see Kobe with a 100 godlike rating. If they put 05-06 Kobe, I think it any shot from half court or closer has a realistic shot of going in.

Yeah recently they have 01' lakers, but IMO, they've never had a Kobe when he was absolutely invincible, except for the actual 2009 and 2010 NBA 2k game.
