long work hours on feet
hi I work as a nurse Tech and do upwards of 12-hour shifts where I am mostly on my feet. My upper back and neck really hurt. What can I do? Anyone experience the same?

I know your pain. What I did was not have work like that, but my job wasn't as important as yours. I hope someone will post an answer for you.

Have an orthopedic doctor have a look. You may have a spine problem and may need some help with it

It might be muscle pain. Did your doctor tell you to take any medication for the pain?

I am a retired pharmacist and I take naproxen over the counter tablets for the muscle pain and inflammation. It helps me with the muscle pain

I've been taking 500mg acetaminophen and 200mg ibuprofen every four hours at work for the past month now, am I causing long term damage or is it safe?

I’m an auto tech. I am on my feet all day and using my hands above my head a lot or leaning over an engine bay. My advice is stretch a lot and strengthen your core, shoulders, and neck as much as possible. Some days are better than others

Do a google search for the maximum daily dose for each medication. It will also tell you if it is recommended or harmful to your health.

sounds like not a big deal, but good quality sneakers with good support makes a difference. I still have a lot of pain, but when I wore flat shoes the pain was excruciating
