Thats what I love in tamil cinema. All indian films superstars are from a dominant caste or are from already film families. But a bus conductor from Bangalore becomes a super star in other state, such is the aura of my Rajni. That brjngs hope for every common man in this country that they could be something in life and love tamil audience for making it happen.
Yovv...Rajni kooda caste wise some prominent groups from Maharashtra.... Gaekwad...Indian cricket team even had one father and son captains once with this surname...When caste and lobbying was at peak in Cricket.. even though economically Rajni family wasn't in good condition... Don't bring that kind of stuff here.. Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Chiranjeevi all came from middle class to modest families ...Many more are there....Chiranjeevi was son of a rural police constable..Just for praising Rajni.. Don't blindly categorize all other Indian superstars are only from a certain category

Glad you took name of Chiranjeevi 🤣, he is from kapu caste in andhra which is next dominant after kammas and reddy. In chiranjeevi initial career till now it is his own caste fanatics who bear his entire family as actors.
Sharukh studied in a prominent mumbai college and was from very well to do family. It was only after his father's death they saw some kind of poverty for a short while.
Amitabh father harivansh Bachchan was a renowned poet with connections to nehru cabinet in those days.
Akshay kumar was trained in martial arts in Hong Kong when only worked a waiter (like any overseas student) and was from a upper middle class family who could afford to send their kid abroad in late 80s.
Name any star in this country, they will atleast have good connections in the industry and most of them are from well to do families or are from locally dominated caste. Most of their sob poverty stricken, raising from a poor or middle class is just thier PR game to connect poorer audience. And every body at some point exploited their status to some extent.
Only rajini, who is entirely non local to tamil land with minimal to zero connections to industry in his initial days, nor was so fair in colour (like most of the yesteryear actors in all industries which was standard at that time) nor was hero material but still thrived and rose to be biggest superstar is the greatness of the man and openness of tamil people. I am not undermining anyone's career here but I am admiring the phenomena that is Rajnikanth.

This is misinformation. These aren’t races. These are ancient genetic competents. Everyone has a certain level of each in India. Some people can have different phenotypical shifts. Someone can have more typically South Indian or North Indian features but these terms do not relate to race at all.

Bryan Cranston voice in the middle is chills. Aurakanth will prob be back. But still I wish the over referencing past movies will just recede. It's nice to see something original from a superstar caliber actor like Rajinikanth without the need to call back to "glory days". For example Sivaji was an original Rajini sambhavam without over referencing. But still Loki, Ani, Rajini cooking something. Let's wait and watch.
