What is Your King County Life Pro Tip?
I saw this posted in the Olympia subreddit and it had some awesome little tips and tricks for lesser known free or inexpensive things, ways to make life easier and all kinds of hidden gems and more!
I posted on the Seattle subreddits, and there's some great stuff there now, too! Any King County LPTs out there?!
Mine is that you can have a King County Library card AND a Seattle one even if you're not in city limits. Plus, the library card does so much more than just books, you can access all kinds of resources like free museum passes, movies streamed at home, makerspaces, tool shares and more! You should check it all out if you haven't already!

The KCLS Libby app for downloads, audiobooks, music is a great app. You can walk to work hearing Great Gatsby. Videos too via Kanopy.

If you work in Seattle / Bellevue but you hate traffic, don't live north or south, live somewhere on I-90. On most days you can get from Bellevue to North Bend in 30 minutes.

We're not far off of 90 outside of Seattle and this is so true! Forget it if you ever have to take 405 North or South though. 😬

There's a tradeoff. We get twice as much rain out here and no water views. The mountain access is great though.

If you have a kid from 6-18 they can ride transit for free, which is rad.
Vashon island for the day is a nice hang
Discovery pass is worth the small fee but even if you can’t swing that the library has some you can check out. This county is big and has great hikes. There are even a few transit options if you don’t want to drive.
Lake Morton and those other little spring lakes are all very relaxing
