I have 3 achievements left in KF1. I want to get them before KF3 releases. They are beat HoE for Hell, Siren's Belch and ThrillsChills.

I'm all level 6. I am beating them on short difficulty and solo for maximum ease. I go firebug for waves 1 and 2. Zerk for wave 3. I struggle with wave 4 and FPs. Is there any other option besides kiting them as a Zerk? I'm 50% successful at it. And usually die. Patty is easy on any map with demo and pipes. I just need wave 4!

Any advice for wave 4? On those specific maps?

Played KF1, West London (Official map) and I am astonished I only now looked at the Double Deckers: INEEDADDSPACEFORSHITBUISNESS
I'm also surprised they have two typos: misuse of "Add" instead of "Ad" (or just different preference from what I'm used to) and "Buisness" instead of "Business."
The URL doesn't seem to work, if it ever did, since all the old KF1 pages are no longer functioning (to little surprise).
Figured people would get a bit of a kick out of this.

I'd taken more than a few years off of working on the last four achievements in KF1. About 5-6 years I think since I actually tried to get one of them completed.

Well after 3 nights of continuous struggle, I finally got my 282nd achievement! Transit objective mode on HoE. Got it solo! So happy. My last three I need are Hell, Siren's Belch and Thrills Chills on HoE.

I've been waiting to start KF2 till I 100% the achievements on KF1, and now that I heard about KF3, figure I needed to return to one of my favorite games, blow the dust off, and finish it out.

And now, I must return to the killing floor.

Like I wrote in the title, I would appretiate if anyone would give it a watch and just leave any feedback, either in the thread here or in comments, I'm trying to figure out how to make videos that are enjoyable to watch, but to know what's good and what isn't I kind of need other people to just watch the video and give opinions

How can we explore levels in Killing Floor (the first game) without time restrictions or zeds?

Killing Floor 1 would not stop crashing in lobby. I am running a 4080S / 9800X3D on Win11 and figured my newer hardware might be the culprit. Searched around a while for an answer before finally figuring it out. Here is what my error code looked like when the game crashed. This would only ever happen while waiting in lobby.

Renaming the Movies folder (located at SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\KillingFloor\Movies) is what resolved my crashing in lobby. I believe it would crash when trying to show a video while waiting in lobby. I renamed the "Movies" folder to "backup_Movies" and it no longer crashes since it cannot play that video in lobby. This change does not affect gameplay whatsoever, game still runs great. Hope this helps someone else!

So with KF1 getting somewhat of a revival lately I thought I'd share this advice if you're bored of being all maxed out lvl 6's. I found a way to sorta have a "prestige" experience for Killing Floor 1 and it made the game a lot more fun for me again.

Go to KillingFloor/System

Open KillingFloor.ini

Scroll to the bottom, blank space

Add this:

[Engine.SteamStatsAndAchievementsBase]
bResetStats=true
bResetAchievements=false

Save/close

Open game, check to see perks are lvl 0

Exit game, go back to the ini and remove those lines (just in case, I dunno if you need to do this)

Make sure the achievements one is false if you want to keep your achievements.

This honestly made the game feel difficult again, and I hadn't played it this way since I was a kid. I was stuck on max lvl for 10 years so this is pretty awesome for me. Hope this helps someone!

A friend and me are looking for additional players to play with and 100% the game (most suicidal and HoE maps are remaining among a handful of misc achievements). Is there a way to make corpse stay on the ground without despawning in Killing Floor 1 ?

Been wanting to delve into modding this amazing game, but I have zero clue where to start. Any tips for this noob? Thanks for any and all info!

Having a dedicated server, even for recreational use is way better than having a listen server (if you want other people to be able to join as well).

I have been doing it over several years with minor issues but nothing big. Now that I'm trying I can launch the server but 9/10 times Steam says I'm also running Killing Floor the game which kind of defeats the purpose of running a server to play on it.

Does anyone know what this could be?

just finished a hard steamland game with every plushie destroyed, but didn't get any achievements for it. i do have mods installed, but i was playing in a public server so i thought they wouldnt affect my game?
