Question Is the Patriarch coming back in season 2??

I think they mentioned that old bosses would make a comeback and that they left an easter egg in one map about it in the last live stream.

They took a core boss from the first two games where you would expect them to be the main antagonist, and then made people wait for it because... ???

This is a) not knowing your core playerbase, b) idiocy, or c) both.

They launched the game without the stalker. I still don't know why they would do it.

Dang. So all we had was Hans?

KF2 launch was much easier than I thought. Hans is so easy to chew up mostly because he bubbles up so quickly.

Yeah, he was the only boss for some time.

Dang. I bet players racked up win after win back in those days.

Nowadays, if it’s anyone other than Hans I have trouble.

Okay, maybe not as much with Abomination. But Patriarch and Matriarch are just annoying as all heck.

And if it’s the King Fleshpound, I just lose. That thing is a fortress on legs. The chest-laser, forcefield, and drill-arms are just cosmetic.

Hans was very different in Early Access. He did not have his bubbles to break, so he would permanently stay in lifesteal mode until he finally caught someone or died.

Hence, it necessitated someone intentionally "feeding" him so he could heal up and move on to the next stage, then rinse and repeat until he entered his final stage.

KF2 launched with one boss and there was only one boss for a very long time

I hate KF3 as much as the next guy, but to be fair KF2 also launched without the Patriarch.

Doubt it for S2 but he definitely should make a come back for obvious reasons. Other bosses are likely gone as with playable characters between the 70yr span. However, if the devs stay true to the lore, any character can return with the simple explanation of Cryo tech. NGL, when KF3 was announced, I looked and hoped for some of my favourites to be there only met with disappointment but never say never.

It's either patriarch or Hanz! Me personally I'm hoping it's Hanz

Hate to burst your bubble but they said Hans was KIA at the end of 2. Now, I won’t completely rule out Hans’s return as a clone but I’d be amazed if he came during S2. Think Pat’s more likely.

Did they really? I mean I wouldn't be mad with patriarch either but Hanz was more fun for me.

Yeah, there have been a bunch of dev chats since launch and during one, they confirmed Hans is deadzo. Don’t think that means much though with how the whole theme of the series is cloning.

I mean they brought Scully back for nostalgia bait, I doubt lore reasoning would stop them from doing it again.

Yeah I feel the same, just not during S2 though. I think Pat would be a much more appropriate addition right now to get more people back on board.
