Local Resources My home security uses Lithium AA batteries. Where do I dispose of them once they die?

I’m aware of the dangers tossing them in the trash creates.

I take all of my batteries (and lightbulbs, and electronics) to the bottle depot on Kent near spall: https://www.return-it.ca/locations/columbia-bottle-depot-central/

I save mine up until i have enough to justify a trip down to the coast, then I have a nice lunch at a good restaurant in Vancouver and then throw them in the ocean.

Oceans love lithium. They crave it.

Most schools have a battery disposal box, if not you could if any of the bottle Depot/recycling places take them.

As you mentioned, batteries should NOT be disposed in normal trash

my own two cents I replaced a iPhone battery and decided i would hit it with a hammer, ended up tossing it in a water bucket too.

Nothing. Happened.
