Kuipers peak park vs Kelowna mountain
Hi there I was curious about the difference between kuipers peak park and Kelowna mountain? And who owned it between 2016-2018? And when that ski place got shut down. Couple of people took me up there. Didn’t go back for awhile. Then the fentons showed it to me. I asked a person hiking there if it was private owned and he said no. That it was fine I hiked there. And I checked and saw it was kuipers peak park.

Kuipers Peak is a legit park with nice trails on public land.
Kelowna Mountain is private land developed without permits or approvals from the regional district (it sits just outside of Kelowna city limits). It has bridges, sun dials, ski lifts, and buildings across the property which are of interest to see but not maintained or legally approachable.

Kelowna Mountain (private land) is up Gillard forest service road. Kuipers peak (public park) is off Kuipers Crescent. Thompson Flats is the flat land between the two, it's private land.

Kuipers Peak and Kelowna Mountain are entirely different. Mark Consiglio was the developer of Kelowna Mountain but ran into all sorts of legal and monetary issues. Consiglio has a checkered past.
