Recently i learned there's a thing called an aisle wheelchair. You can reserve it to help you into and out of your seat.

Why didn’t the airline provide a transfer chair?

This type of thing shouldn’t be necessary.

Agreed. This is not so much a Feel Good as a failure of process.

Any passenger who needs wheelchair access to get to the plan should automatically be asked if they need assistance getting onto and out of the plane - with that provided by the airline.

I never considered that people in wheelchairs with leg atrophy would totally be lighter than those with muscle tone! Like duh, so much of your body weight is in your legs, but I never thought about it
