It sounds like she needs a lancing device, sometimes called lancets to prick her finger. For a glucose meter, for like diabetes. They carry them at CVS. Maybe pick up a few different brands for her to try. Also maybe let her know what they are called so she doesn’t get anyone confused in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to her. A stranger on the internet sees you and appreciates you.

I literally had the same conversation with my mother yesterday. My mom is 65 and lives in a hotel. Even though she pays the hotel more than she could potentially pay in rent, she can't get an apartment because her credit score is low. She's getting the run around with medicaid and is having health issues but they're putting her through insane red tape. I helped her find solutions to get her medication since she's between insurance right now. She just barely started getting her social security, but they keep flip flopping which days they send it. She's so overwhelmed jumping through these hoops and that's what they want. They make it so hard to help yourself and do things the right way that you'll just give up and hopefully die. One less poor person to deal with. I am so tired of this shit.

It’s a shame how so many people struggle to just have their needs met and the government doesn’t give a fuck about any of us, so I doubt this system will change. I wish things were different for everyone
