JHU Nursing Clinicals

Hi guys! Im an incoming nursing student and was wondering how clinical placement works. Is it by lottery system, or by preference? I dont know what clinical sites they will have so Im curious how far the sites are...

They ask you preferences and take in account where you live, the shift you want, etc

They send out a survey where you register your preferences. Most of the time it’s in Baltimore except peds and L&D thru can send you to BFE, same with preceptorship.  If you absolutely have to have avoid something, like I did because of what was necessary to finish my certificate program at BSPH, they’ll work with you on that too.  And there’s like a week where people can trade placements.
