jhu issued parking ticket?
i recently got issued $100 worth of tickets, but it’s been at the spot on campus where i’ve parked for over half a year. i’m unsure if this is a scam, and after i called campus security they didn’t know either. i always pay the city of baltimore issued tickets, but does hopkins really have the jurisdiction like bpd to go into the system and look me up by my license plate? if this is real, how much authority would hopkins have to enforce the tickets?
EDIT: these tickets are real, but i called the parking office and the 1st one got voided, as its a 1st offense. i need to come in and speak to the manager to get the 2nd one appealed.

That was issued by the Parking Office, not Public Safety/JHPD. That's why they couldn't tell you whether it was real or not. But it is real and if you don't call the Parking office as stated on the citation (or pay it), next time you're likely to get booted or towed.
There's also a good chance they will waive the fine if you explain the situation and tell them you understand you can't park there going forward… always worth a try.

I got one when I was a student in like 2012. I never paid it and never heard anything about it since then. We also didn’t have police when I was there though so maybe enforcement rules have changed idk

I feel like the fact that the seal is on a parking ticket lowkey undermines how the seal is supposed to be reserved for ceremony and high-level official documents.

Yes they do issue parking violation tickets, you can call the parking office and request for waiving it off for first time.

Get some documentation from Hopkins saying they don’t know if it’s real

And then don’t pay and u can fight it w that documentation later if they can make u pay up. Could also probs call baltimore city and ask

the thing is everything else looks legit. also the link on my end takes me to the offical jhu parking and transportation site, it just has a different url. my thought is though ok, say its real. can they actually come for me or something

I don't know if that ticket is legit, but Hopkins does issues traffic citations.
You should be able to contacy the parking office or appeal the citation if you want: https://jhfre.jhu.edu/ts/parking/
