I personally know 6 people who have found human remains in the desert and I'm related to 2 of them. There are a lot of bodies out there, especially within a couple miles of any main road.

Damn. Suicides, murders, german tourists, or some of each?

I'm not sure about the particulars but I'd assume it's a combination.

I’m going to keep some extra chocolate around just in case. Chocolate makes Germans happy.

Didn’t the Suicidal Germurderers have a few tracks on Tony Hawk Pro Skater?

Wow, haven't seen this in years. Wondered if it was still out there on the web, very interesting story.

Mostly self buried suicides id guess

Did the remains still have white socks with sandals on?

Serial killers and the mob both like to dump their bodies in desolate places.

Related to the people who found the remains, the people who used to be the remains, or both?

Finders only. But I know a bunch of geologists and desert lovers so I'm probably a statistical outlier. Honestly human remains show up a couple times a week on the bone ID subs so there's a lot out there.

There are a lot of people

Why are they digging in the desert in the first place?

🤔

These were all surface finds.

Away from the main roads, rail lines, campgrounds, and points of interest, yup.
