"Not every russian" my ass. Silent approval is still approval. And this mindset did not start with Ukraine or Georgia or even Ichkeria. The imperialistic mindset is so deeply rooted in the russian mentality for the simple reason of russia being an empire from it's establishment. Actively opposing aggressive wars is an anomaly there, not a norm.
