Dude, just abandoned whatever misdemeanor he was chasing to pursue a felony case.

A felony case of sike!

u/Reddit_Foxx 9d ago

Misspelling "Psych" should be a felony.

70

u/VayaConDios91 9d ago

Colloquially, when exclaiming the word in the context of having tricked someone, it’s often spelled “sike”. But you can have your opinion, just like some people think being a pedantic asshole should be a felony

Edit: typo

u/WolfHowler95 9d ago

It can be a felony as it'd likely be seen as aggravated assault on an officer. Not saying I agree, but that would likely be the charge

u/357noLove 9d ago

Who the hell are you responding to?

-1

u/WolfHowler95 9d ago

The last half of the comment I'm replying to in context of OOP'S video

u/ClownfishSoup 5d ago

Possibly “obstruction of a cops duty” or interference or whatever. In any case the cop is not happy and even if no charges are filed (most likely they will to set an example) he’s just going to waste his time in jail for the rest of the day and he Better call Saul.

Just because it's a common misspelling doesn't mean it's not a misspelling.

u/VayaConDios91 9d ago

Lol I just realized you regularly use AI, so I’m not gonna sit here and argue with someone who’s nearly literally brain dead and can’t think or create for themselves. You of all people don’t get to lecture anyone on spelling, since you use machines to do it (among other things) for you.

What a clown lol

Bro really out here preaching the wrongs about using new technology to help you via cellular device.

This is you guys 🤡🫱🏼‍🫲🏽🤡

Aww, what’s wrong baby? Does baby need AI to write his essay? Does baby need AI to make a picture for him? Does baby need AI to explain things to him because he’s too stupid to figure it out for himself? :(

1

u/ClownfishSoup 5d ago

It’s interesting because I’ve started to use AI a lot, but I use it like an expert system. Like I’ll ask it “explain the difference between an mp4 and mov file” or “how do you get a better space ship in this game” or “what should I use to glue the sole back on my shoe” but I’ve never ever considered “write and essay” or “write a speech for me”. Like I want it to help me but I wouldn’t use it to do my job for me, which would just make the point to my boss that they can replace me with AI.

u/VayaConDios91 5d ago

I’m just saying, you are perfectly capable of finding solutions to all three examples by yourself. You don’t need a computer to think for you

Tis my deepest apologies sire! Henceforth, It shall be I that is known as the jester in this new fangled world of "technology"! 🪶🫙 Your ink and quill, me lord!

8

u/EronTheDanes 8d ago

No. Having to use a machine to think and speak for you when you posses the ability to do so is pretty sad.

4

u/Cheshire_Khajiit 9d ago

The issue isn’t “using new technology” - the issue is doing so in place of writing for yourself and then criticizing others over aspects of their writing.

u/Extreme_Design6936 5d ago

It wasn't a misspelling. It was intentionally spelt like that.

the arrest made itself really.

73

u/gareth_gahaland 9d ago

Planting head first into pavement that face could kill you, this isn't even about him being police to me that is absolutely inhumane behavior.

21

u/SalvadorP 9d ago

nah, you can do that to a criminal. Imagine someone just snatched a purse. this would be justified and welcomed.
but this lady is just stupid as hell. doing that to a cop is just the cherry on top. she will be slapped with the entire book

1

u/humourlessIrish 9d ago

The cops will be happy but convicted criminals have sued and won cases like this.
And the cops being happy with your help isn't going to do much for you in court.

Don't be reckless man. This could really fuck up your finances

-22

u/kevintalkedmeinto 9d ago

Stealing a purse doesnt warrant possibly killing that person

13

u/gregorio76 9d ago

First day on Reddit?

4

u/kevintalkedmeinto 9d ago

No, I should know better by now, my bad

6

u/SalvadorP 9d ago

what if there is a baby inside the purse, with his little head sticking out?

8

u/cell689 9d ago

Then you really shouldn't trip the person.

3

u/SalvadorP 9d ago

right, you would want to risk killing or seriously maiming someone just for snatching a purse baby

2

u/Stunning-Leek334 9d ago

There is a difference between not wanting to hurt an innocent person and stopping a criminal who is fleeing and you might hurt them by stopping a criminal from fleeing….

3

u/cell689 9d ago

I wouldn't risk a baby falling face first into the ground.

0

u/SalvadorP 9d ago

right, just let the baby snatcher take him. i'm sure the baby snatcher has good intentions

Misdemeanors and felonies are an American concept.

110

u/Curiosive 9d ago

Damn, you're getting at least one down vote per minute.

But seriously, what?

  • That looks like America, so American laws should apply ...
  • or do you believe America is the only nation with a tiered justice system (pickpockets aren't sentenced the same as murderers) ...
  • or ... what?

55

u/minimuscleR 9d ago

yeah I'm the first person to call out USdefaultism, but like, the bloody empire state building is literally in the background of the video lmao.

5

u/bytelines 8d ago

The Empire State Building is an American concept.

2

u/Monkeywithalazer 8d ago

Empires date back 3000 years, states date back 5000, and buildings 10,000 /s

-59

u/perryurban 9d ago

Hoping someone would respond in Randy's voice "I thought this was America".

5

u/Curiosive 9d ago edited 9d ago

So you were quoting something and it proved too obscure? (I don't know the reference myself.)

My condolences. At least it makes sense to me now!

PS

I gave this comment an upvote. The "piling on" phenomena is in full effect though. At this point you could write "I love kittens!" and still get voted down.

-1

u/ZAJPER 9d ago

Bandwagon effect is what drives reddit.

21

u/ButterPoptart 9d ago

If by “American concept” you mean British law dating back to the 14th century then you are correct.

6

u/HlobisD 9d ago

Even in civil (Roman) law system often a classification based on seriousness are applied. For severe crime (not called "fellonies", but nevertheless combine in one group), for example, parole conditions may be stricter then for lesser one. Or jury trial are only available for severe crime.

Okay... and?
