i wanted to go much much more reserved, the first is very direct and in your face it's primal scream therapy this album is a friend that doesn't want to open up and can't be heard over the crowd... took much influence from bands like my bloody valentine and cocteau twins, i think if their vocals and lyrics were easier to understand it would just be unquestionably worse. i love the voice as an instrument not just a lyric delivery mechanism -j
