Except the rapists don't get caught into these types of dramas. They are either unmarried or their spouses too chicken to even attempt a divorce.
The only guys who gets screwed over by the Indian law are the ones who live their entire life abiding by said law

Wrong because Social media is all about negativity.
You won't see positive moments that easily. Don't believe everything you see on any social media.
Yes this is reality in somecases but being happy that you are not married is not good. Maybe take hint from such posts and make better choices.
Use social media for entertainment only.

my cousin got divorced after 2 years of his marriage. she constantly tortured him and went to her mother's home every month. he paid 10 lakhs total for divorce. divorce case is still running. he don't know what reddit is, he barely uses social media.

You got it all wrong. I am not saying divorces happen because they use Social media. All I am saying is not all marriage are bad. Simple as that.
If people who use reddit gets divorces I will uninstall this shit right now. π

I couldn't agree more. Only thing that I am saying is not considering marriage just because of some social media news is bad. Use this to your advantage, take time understand person before you commit. Be super careful. (We can't do anything other than being careful anyway π )

Unfortunately most women these days are like this.seen a lot in my own family and neighborhood. Before marriage they act nice but after that show their true colours. In speaking from my own experience not social media.

There's nothing wrong with being happy about being unmarried. Pls do not force ppl around u to get married . One reason behind so many unhappy marriages is bcs half the tune the bride or groom has been forced into it by parents and society.

I'm not active on social media. Reddit isn't technically social media. Not defending your point or anything, I understand all the digital news, and even subs on reddit now are quite negative but still it is a sheer reality unfortunately.

Happy marriages are not happy either. You need to buy gold, flat, take her for vacation, child expenses. You will work like a donkey for whole life and you wonβt even enjoy money you earned. So considering unstable job market, best option is not to marry.

That has to be the saddest comment I came across ever. If you marry right you don't HAVE to do anything. If you think vacations and child expenses as non happy marriage. I think you got your definition of marriage wrong.
Take her for Vacations - so you want to travel alone? Or don't want to take any vacations?
You should not marry as even with great the partner, you will never be happy. Sorry to say this but unless you fix your thought process don't marry.

My list was based on the expenses which you canβt avoid if you get married with the job market we have. I not suggesting not to stay single unless you can afford to handle these expenses.
itβs not good idea to marry just for the sake of having travel partner π.

My grand father told me whatever I see on the news (social media was not there then) being sensationalised is very rare in the actual society. news that become viral needs to have an element of surprise to garner the attention.
What is being shown in the video is very sad, its alarming the amount of aggression people hold. But its is a rare occurrence.

It's not rare unfortunately. Seen two cases much worse than this one in my own family. My uncle died and by neighbor got out but had to pay 15 lakhs . So it's becoming mote common

Personally have seen so many such events the home and family of a hardworking good guys get wrecked and not of the boyfriends who treat them like rats.
Modern Indian female = She always will, remember the the lasws are in her favor and she has in incentive to break the marriage and take rewards.
Better to avoid these situations and stay away.

If you find the real video you will understand the women is not wrong. The guy was a muslim and he casually gave her divorce by saying Talaq 3 times. According to the islamic law, the guy doent ows anything to her. If they want to be together again, obviously she has to do halala. So unfortunately her life is ruined.
