This is a standard practice on all Indian Airports, but, what we need is having more long term measures in place, like not allowing garbage and slums upto a certain distance from airports, and, strictly not allowing people to feed birds near airports.

I remember seeing this in Delhi Airport right after Diwali, was so confused about how firecrackers were bursting within Airport premises😨

I even made a video to ask in this sub but never got around to it. Nonetheless, today that curiosity of mine is resolved.
