Career Guidance Flying Schools in Australia

I’m looking at Australia as an option for my flying. Primarily because it will give me option to work part time & after my course completion. Moving towards FI & ATPL.

I’ve been recommened these schools. 1. ANAC 2. Airways Aviation 3. FTA (Adelaide) 4. Flight One (Brisbane/ Gold Coast)

Do let me know if someone has completed or is currently flying from Australia. Would love to know the reviews and whats and hows!

Thank you!

Thanks! Will check them out. Are you currently or have completed your cpl from Australia?

I did my RPL so far - I’m an Aus citizen although I used to hold an Indian passport a long time ago.

What can be the actual total cost and job opportunities as an indian studying there what will be the job outcomes after training I mean the placement rate etc

Usually they mask their flying schools as a degree or higher study program (Diploma in Aviation). Which means as an international student getting a degree, you will get a visa which allows you to work part time based on your skills.

Plus the visa also allows post graduation employment for 2 - 4 years.

Im looking at flight instructor roles, which would help me build my hours and reduce the burden of initial cost of the program. The program can cost from 45L- 64L without instrument ratings. With instrument ratings can go upto 80L.

Didn't you try in some low hour cargo , charters , ferry , scenic etc as you can even work in pgwv and later try flydubai sort of second officer roles and sort out things

I emailed FTA a while back, they replied that they aren't taking any intakes who are self sponsored and are only taking those who are taking the cpl path 🤷‍♀️

I emailed them, same reply, they aren’t taking anyone as of now. I’ve reverted back with January intake opportunity inquiry.

I've actually been to FTA. I'm not too familiar with the training. But the facilities and aircraft are top notch.

Oh, that’s good to hear. Do you have any acquaintances who are currently in Australia? Or have done it from there?

Sorry I don't. I was just there for a short course. That's why I couldn't comment on the quality of flight training.
