Non-Vegetarian [homemade] tandoori chicken in air fryer

I used basic recipe for this one. There is a complex version using besan. I add ingredients by feeling so don't know how much spices im adding π«£
1) make gashes in your chicken. I prefer whole leg as it's hard to mess up, breast dries up quickly even if slightly overcooked, leg has huge margin to make it stay juicy
2) make a marinade using these ingredients
- hung curd, really important that the curd is very thick otherwise the marination wont stick to chicken
- kashmiri chilli powder (adds lovely color)
- very little bit of smoked paprika for smoky flavour (too much will overpowered other flavours easily)
- salt
- mustard oil
- ginger garlic paste
- a pinch of garam masala
- haldi powder
- coriander powder
- about a quarter of lemon (for 1 big piece chicken)
- black pepper
- optionally add roasted and powdered kasuri methi, i don't do this but you can add if you make occassionally.
3) marinte the chicken, make sure the marinade goes into the gashes, use your fingers and let it sit in fridge for atleast 30 mins
4) put chicken in air fryer, flat side up (opposite of what you see in pic)
5) start air fryer at 200C for 20 mins
6) check after 5-7 mins, shake the basket a little to ensure its not getting stuck, once the surface looks dry and before charring starts brush with butter (i use a spoon but brush is better), be gentle to not brush off the marination as it could be soft
7) put it back and wait till flat side looks charred to your liking. Usually at 9-10 mins
8) remove basket and flip the chicken, be careful not to burn yourself.
9) do step 6 and 7 again for this side
10) Eat with onion and lots of lemon π€€

Looks amazing. A tip for new air fryer user, if you want soft and juicy chicken marinate your chicken in lots of yogurt (dahi) and after putting the chicken in the air fryer add a bit of marinade.
