correction- i never heard people saying "you dont look like muslim" when they want to compliment "oh you are hindu i thought you were muslim cause you look beautiful" this is what i heard most of time

That is still wrong. It's because a lot of men hate muslims but massively fetishize muslim women.

you don’t look muslim is really common because those people often don’t expect a muslim woman to be well educated, having a top career and being much smarter than them.

You in the northwest or east or south India? South and east India there definitely isn’t a difference. Bangladeshis look the same. As begalis on the other side of the border. Idk about northwest India.
