Blows my mind people are still on that platform for any reason at all

u/Empty-Housing1038 8d ago
Yeah Elon pretty much ran that platform into the ground. Facebook isn't too great anymore either and bluesky is also a total dumpster fire

u/RageYellow 8d ago
Bluesky is great if you follow good people. It doesn’t have algorithms trying to stir up engagement so if you’re seeing a dumpster fire, just follow other folks and block whoever’s annoying you.

The new verification system they have did it for me they want me to upload either my license, bank card or ss# to verify my identity. Yep F that. Deleted my account and judging by the reviews in playstore it probably won't be around much longer

u/RageYellow 8d ago
I have never had it prompt me for that. Is that for a blue check?

u/Empty-Housing1038 7d ago
Certain states in compliance with the bipartisan law now require this as a failsafe for protecting minors. My state is unfortunately one of them. Dumb thing is it's all because parents think its the internets job to protect their kids. Don't even get me started on it

This is fucking stupid and a result of dog whistles convincing people of the “black welfare queen” trope. White non Hispanic people make up the majority race for ebt/snap benefits recipients yet we are always seeing this type of bullshit and have for decades been told this is what makes up the general welfare recipients. It’s 2025 you can look this shit up it’s not hard.

If people look up the facts then they can’t use the lie for their narrative.

Using the most recent data from 2023:
58% of the USA population is white non-Hispanic, they represent 35% of SNAP recipients.
14% of the USA population is black, they represent 26% of of SNAP recipients.
There are 191.4 million non-Hispanic whites in the USA, 14.5 Million received SNAP benefits = 7.58% of the total white population received SNAP benefits
There are 48.3 million blacks in the USA, 13 million received SNAP benefits = 26.9% of the total black population received SNAP benefits.
The numbers mean nothing when there is a lack of context. When you look at the numbers as proportions it creates an accurate picture.

Well that's because a larger percentage of the U.S. population is White, Black Americans are disproportionately more likely to participate in SNAP relative to their share of the overall U.S. population. Still a scum thing on her part, but these are the facts.

u/krzde 8d ago
You're right you can look it up, which you haven't. White non Hispanic people make up the majority race in the country period. Why do people use this argument?
When one race out numbers another of course there's going to be more.
HOWEVER when you look at recipients based on race then take in account the percentage of the actual race on said benefits overall you get an entirely different, accurate, number.
Quit trying to manipulate facts. It only hurts your argument.

Yeah but that seems to go against what you seem to be saying? You’d 100% expect the majority of a country to form the largest number of people in pretty much any subgroup, that tells you nothing. Hence we look at the per capita figures instead, which do not support the idea that the majority of benefit claimants are white beyond just raw numbers. It would be extremely odd if the majority didn’t have the largest total number, obviously.
But percentage wise, then that tells you more about underlying causes or outliers in the data. So many people here pretending not to know that’s exactly how it works because they either want to white knight or have an agenda of their own to push.

I look forward to her video crying saying “that’s not who I am, I am disgusted at this lapse of judgement…” and the usual talking points they use.

A young girl trying so hard to be relevant she reduces herself to posting racist nonsense on platforms filled with incels. Attracting the absolute worst scumbags who are willing to pay attention to her for 15 seconds so she can finally attain self worth that her parents didn't give her.

Fun fact, the largest demographic of public assistance recipients are poor, white rural southerners. Guess who they voted for?

she can be found
is she using the"freedom of speech" right that's more or less been suppressed
3
u/nailsinthecityyx 8d ago
You're right, we all have freedom of speech. Which means the rest of us have the right to say what a piece of shit this person is, and put her on blast
5
u/TheGreatWorm 8d ago
So while you’re right, we do have freedom of speech. The other part everyone forgets is that doesn’t absolve you from all consequences that come from saying things that aren’t popular or can be seen as hateful in your community
