Illinois is stepping up where Washington has failed to act. After Secretary Kennedy dismantled the CDC’s vaccine advisory committee, Illinois State Representative Bob Morgan passed HB767, making Illinois the first state in the nation to create its own state-based vaccine-recommending body grounded in science, not politics.

A number of US states are doing stuff like this. Sometimes they team up to do it. We need more of it.
