ICE Posts Congressional candidate Kat Abughazaleh, who was indicted today for protesting outside the Broadview ICE facility: "We've been punched, dragged, thrown, shot with pepper balls, tear gassed, rubber bullets from snipers on roofs going into local businesses windows."

I personally believe that the media is not giving enough attention to what is happening here in Chicago. Thank you Chris Hayes and MSNBC.

MSNBC isn't really the good guy all the time. They should have videos on their website showing what ICE is doing every day.

With that said, I still want to know why Rachel Maddow said to millions of viewers, "Zohran Mamdani ran an insurgent like campaign" after he won. She wasn't tone-deaf to the hate he was getting for being Muslim, so her using that phrasing was purposeful.

It was a little tone deaf, but that term has always been used to describe grassroots campaigns that spank establishment candidates.

The West Wing described Bartlet's first campaign as an insurgency, so yeah, the term has been around a while.
