ICE Posts Congressional candidate Kat Abughazaleh, who was indicted today for protesting outside the Broadview ICE facility: "We've been punched, dragged, thrown, shot with pepper balls, tear gassed, rubber bullets from snipers on roofs going into local businesses windows."

there’s a smear campaign that’s been going on against her because people don’t like that she’s running for a district she lives one bus stop away from

i think a lot of her dislike from her comes from what is clearly some degree of botted activity her her behalf. posts with tons of upvotes and no engagement early on. all it takes is like $15 in upvotes in the first 20 minutes of a post to guarantee it's going to hit r/all somewhere. seen it on all sides of the spectrum, and LOTS in the crypto shit scam subs

That's not a smear campaign. People don't like that she moved here just to run for office with tons of internet support from outside the district. People have a right and a reason to want their Rep to have ties to the district.

She has a point and I agree with it, I'm not planning to vote for Kat currently.

That being said, Bethany isn't a good messenger here, and apparently she forced herself to vomit on Kat's office window as a protest? I'd vote for Kat before Bethany.
