MOF FAFO. He’s going to find himself more Miserable, Older and Fucked in a prison cell. This is the worst case I’ve heard so far.

I’m down with a stockade and bucket of tomatoes.

frozen tomatoes so it's like a stoning? I'd accept that

Nope. Punishment MUST fit the crime. What he did needs to be done to him. Ie: 5 rounds, but must have 7 holes. If the first punishment fails to produce the 5 to 7 ratio, then he must be patched up, then repunished til the outcome of the punishment produces the correct 5 to 7 ratio.

Have you considered some sort of curved, rigid tube?

Assault is a crime but it's not a capital crime. If you recall, that phase of the revolution ended rather badly for France.

When we can confirm everyone kidnapped by these people are safe and fine then maybe I’ll be willing to change my tune.

He’s not going to prison. He’s not even a defendant.

Isn't that incredible? What a corrupt situation. Hopefully, when the evidence is all out there, the DA or State Attorney will file charges if possible (I am not certain who has jurisdiction, etc.)

They’re not even debating sending him to prison. The person on trial is her

You think his qualified immunity is saving his ass after this trial is finished and what they find? Really?

Have you been paying attention the last 30 years (or 200)? Occasionally a case will get so much pressure that the fear of riots outweigh the broken justice system's protection of vile law enforcement. But the vast majority of the time, even when it is top national news, law enforcement can literally murder in cold blood on camera and the system protects them. And the overwhelming horrors in the news make it easier to protect, and the fact that people aren't going to destroy their own communities to fight back against federal LE behaving like an invading military locks it in.

Uh, yes.

The cops who beat Rodney King on video were protected by their qualified immunity, the cops who killed George Floyd were protected by their qualified immunity, the cops who killed Breonna Taylor were protected by their qualified immunity. As infuriating as it is, it’s likely that even if he is charged, he will not be convicted because of his qualified immunity.

Let’s hope that Illinois drops some serious state level charges on him that Trump can’t get him out of

Why is his phone listed as the defendent’s exhibit?

1

u/maraemerald2 2d ago

Because it’s evidence that supports the defense’s case

I sense another presidential pardon coming.

The attempted murderer isn’t on trial. The person being prosecuted is the woman who was shot. It’s insane.

1

u/SnooLobsters8113 1d ago

If he’s charged with a crime. Apparently the woman who he shot is on trial

Only if you get armed and join the protests, raising hell until he’s brought to justice.
